AsIsettledintomyTV-viewingrecliner,chucklingatRAHLO’sobviousignoranceandhighly distorted view of reality, God reminded me that I act just as foolishly when I sin in my thought life and think that no one knows but me. In Matthew 10:26 Jesus said, “there is nothingconcealedthatwillnotbedisclosedorhiddenthatwillnotbemadeknown.”(NIV). The God of the universe is all seeing; all knowing; and justice is His to impart. We are all guiltyandstandcondemnedwithouttheloveandgraceofChristJesuswhodiedinourplace foroursin. Just as the calendar year is divided into seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall, the ChristianYearisalsodividedintoseasons.CurrentlyweareintheseasonofPentecostwhen we celebrate the empowering Holy Spirit of God indwelling every disciple after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. And the same Holy Spirit lives within us today. I encourage each of you to read Psalm 139. And ask God to cleanse and prepare you for the seasonthatliesahead. PRAYER: Search me oh God, and know my heart. See if there is any offensive thought or behaviorinme,andleadmeinYourWay.Amen. ByRoyceHughes Women in Stitches When the world gives you scraps, make quilt blocks! The ladies learned how to make scrap quilt blocks this month (below). They were so excited about it, they couldn’t stop. These particular blocks will be added to their Squares to Prayers Mission and assembled into a prayer quilt. The ladies also learned the technique for making a windowpane quilt. Next gathering will be July 14 and 15 starting at 9:00 a.m. (yes, they have early birds) and hope you will join them You don’t have to sew; you can bring any handwork. They enjoy great fellowship and laughter for two days each month. Come on out and join the fun! TheCraftersmetonTuesday,June14. Therearelotsofbusylittlehands workingonthosebazaaritems!
