Congratulations to David Ragg and David
Denyer of Lansdowne Florist, Bournemouth
and David Ragg Flowers, Wimbourne who
designed the Gold Medal winning Interflora
exhibit at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The
theme of the exhibit was ‘Progression,’ and

design full of vibrancy and innovation.
Trained mainly by her mother the well-known
florist Gail Atkinson, Helen was a quick
learner gaining her ICSF and NDSF
qualifications before the age of twenty-five.
No stranger to competition work Helen was
Teleflorist Designer of the Year in 2007 and
went on to compete in the Teleflor World
Cup. Helen, a Chelsea Flower Show silver
medalist, is also a valued Ambassador for

inspiring demonstrator and style consultant.

After an
apprenticeship
in floristry
Anette started
her own shop, but here she
missed the creativity that freelance work
could give her, so eventually she gave up the
shop to concentrate on specific aspects of
design and developing her own in built style
as an artist with flowers.
Her freelance company specializes in unique
designs for individual customers and her style
is simple yet strong.
Anette’s first love is fashion and from an early
age she wanted to be a dress designer,
however her love of nature steered her to a
career with flowers. A free spirit Anette’s
mission is to be an ambassador for the
botanical world, elevating flowers and plants
to art status. With showrooms in Herning,
Denmark and Rome, Italy Anette leads a
cosmopolitan life and whenever it’s possible
she studies art and design in other fields as
she is convinced that to be a good floral
designer one has to have a broader outlook,
taking in other art forms and thinking outside
the box.
