Trigold E-Trading Guide - IRESS Mortgage Services Support
e-trading on Trigold Prospector: a guide www.iress.co.uk e-trading on Trigold Prospector What is e-trading? Why is e-trading beneficial to me? There are two key reasons to use e-trading platforms such as ETC and MTE; time saving and compliance records. e-trading is a general term for making applications to lenders and product providers from your desktop. Trigold Prospector has its own platform called Electronic Trading Centre (ETC), designed specifically to take client data used in research (Fact Find, Sourcing) and use this to pre-populate mortgage application forms. Time saving Whether you use the fact find in Trigold Prospector or your back office system integrated with Trigold Prospector, the majority of your client information can be re-used to populate application forms in ETC and MTE. This obviously means you can be faster and more accurate when completing the forms. Any additional information used in one AIP can be used to populate other AIPs which again saves time if you have to do more than one AIP for a client. This is also true for full mortgage applications where data entered previously for AIPs is stored and retrieved to populate the full mortgage application. This is what e-trading is all about – working smarter and using technology to help you cut down on time consuming tasks like re-typing information. Trigold Prospector users also have access to another platform called the Mortgage Trading Exchange (MTE) which works in a similar way but has access to some different lenders. Compliance Whenever you use ETC on Trigold Prospector to submit applications, a copy is automatically saved with the client file. This means that every document you produce on the system from IDD, to KFI, to application, is marked with a date and time stamp for a pinpoint accurate compliance record. However, to add MTE to your system, please click ‘Install MTE’ from within Trigold Prospector. To do this, select ‘Mortgage Applications’ from the front screen on Trigold Prospector. If you have not previously installed MTE you will see the ‘Install MTE’ button. By clicking ‘Install MTE’ you will be taken to a registration page. From here simply complete your details and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set-up. A step-by-step guide to installing MTE is given in the Appendix. Launching ETC and MTE There are three ways to launch ETC and MTE from Trigold Prospector: 1. Client screen Click ‘Applications’ from within a client file. The first screen will ask you to select which product (for which a KFI has been produced) you wish to apply for. Each product displayed in the pop up window has an ‘Apply’ button next to it. Click this to apply for that product. At the bottom of the window there are two sections ‘Select Provider’ and ‘Cancel’. Clicking ‘Select Provider’ will open the lender screen to select a lender to apply to. If you have not created a KFI, you will be prompted to either source for a product or continue straight to the mortgage application. If you choose to go straight to the application (‘No’) the provider screen will open, displaying a list of all the lenders on the right hand side. Clicking ‘Yes’ will take you to the client screen to source. 2 www.iress.co.uk On the left hand side the client’s name will be highlighted. On the right you will be asked to select a lender to apply to. The ETC and MTE sections at the bottom of the screen will become active if they hold a form for the lender highlighted. Clicking ‘Submit AIP’ or ‘Submit FMA’ when active will take you to the application form. 2. Sourcing for a product The second way to launch ETC and MTE is from the sourced products screen in Trigold Prospector. When an ETC or MTE lender is highlighted you will see the platform’s logo and ‘Apply’ button appear at the top right of the results list. There may be one or both depending on the lender highlighted. By clicking ‘Apply’ you will be taken to the lenders form or where there is a choice of selecting between ETC or MTE. Similarly if there is a choice of AIP you will be asked to select which to launch from the following screen. 3 www.iress.co.uk 3. Main menu The third way to launch ETC and MTE is through the ‘Mortgage Applications’ section from the main menu in Trigold Prospector. The following window requires you to select a client from your client list. You will also need to select a lender from the provider list. Once the selections have been made click ‘Apply’ to launch the form. 4 www.iress.co.uk Appendix Mortgage Trading Exchange (MTE) installation guide for Trigold Prospector users How to install MTE Click on ‘Register to download MTE’ and complete the required details. Once completed, you will be shown a screen where you can click on ‘Download’ to install MTE. You will also receive an email with this link. Save the software to your desktop and then select ‘Run’. Once installed proceed with registering the software. 5 www.iress.co.uk Registration On opening the MTE software a login window will appear. If you have not previously registered for MTE (this is an additional registration to the software), you will now need to follow a quick and easy registration process. Click on ‘Register’. You should make sure you have your FSA number to hand. (You will need to have internet access at this point as the link will take you through to the MTE registration website). The MTE registration website will open. Click on ‘New User’ to continue. Should you ever need to change any of your registration details like FSA number you can do so by logging on to www. mteregistration.co.uk or ‘my account’ on www.mtedirect.co.uk. You will need the following details to login: > User ID > Pin Number > Password > Surname If you can’t remember your details please call MTE Customer Services on 0871 384 0055 for assistance. Once you have logged in, you can edit any information previously entered including FSA number, address etc. Once you’ve made the sufficient changes click ‘save’ to keep the changes. Whenever changes are made on the MTE registration you will need to select ‘get token’ again when logging back into the MTE software and wait two hours before submitting any applications to any lenders. 6 www.iress.co.uk Selecting and completing application forms using MTE. Selecting an application Having logged in to MTE via Trigold Prospector, you will see a row of buttons at the top of the screen. By clicking on the ‘New Form’ icon, this will allow you to select your required application form from the list available on MTE. You will see that the list is divided into Agreements In Principle. Full Mortgage Applications, Key Fact Illustrations, Buy to Let, Insurance and Packager. Simply select the form that you wish to complete from the relevant tab and click ‘OK’. You will then see an Applicant box appear. This prompts you to select whether you are starting with a brand new client or if your current client is the one that you wish to use. Just ensure that you select the right option and click ‘OK’. MTE doesn’t need to be connected to the internet for you to complete forms, this means that should your client not have all the information to hand when you are applying for their mortgage you can always store the application and finish it at a later date. 7 www.iress.co.uk Completing a new application Once you have chosen your application form to complete and it appears on your screen, you will notice that the client information collected so far would have been automatically pre-populated for you. To finish completing the outstanding questions, you can either work your way through the questions by scrolling down through the application form until you get to the end. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Validate’ button at the top of the screen. Having clicked on ‘Validate’, this will provide you with a list of questions that are outstanding. Only once you’ve completed all of these items will the form be sent to the lender. As you answer the questions and move onto the next one, you will notice that the red cross will change to a green tick. Once you have completed all of the outstanding questions, click on ‘Validate’ once more to check that the application is complete. If you have completed all of the mandatory questions, you will see a confirmation box appear. Click ‘OK’ and the application is saved and is now ready to send to the lender. MTE is an offline application which means you can save and edit your application form as many times as you want to before submitting it to the lender. 9 www.iress.co.uk What to do now If you would like to arrange a personal demonstration, contact: 0845 068 3000 [email protected] © IRESS UK Limited www.iress.co.uk 0814v1
