For Residential Maestro Quartz Countertops
Maintaining Maestro engineered quartz surfaces is easily achieved with simple care and maintenance
steps and some general precautions. By following these recommendations you will enjoy your Maestro
Quartz surfaces for years to come.
Care and Maintenance
•
For daily cleaning, use a damp cloth or paper towel.
•
For light stains, use clear warm water and a clean white cloth. For dried stains, use a small amount
of mild soap diluted with water with a nonabrasive scrub pad.
•
For more difficult stains, use a neutral pH cleaner such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel and a nonabrasive
scrub pad.
•
Be certain to rinse all areas thoroughly when applying any type of cleaning agent.
General Precautions
•
Always use a trivet or hot pad under hot cookware or dishes. Maestro Quartz can tolerate
moderately hot temperatures for brief periods of time. Prolonged exposure will result in discoloring
or other types of damage.
•
Be cautious when exposing your quartz surface to any chemicals or solvents. Many commonly
used household cleaning products may harm the surface of the stone and permanently damage
its physical properties.
•
Never expose Maestro Quartz surfaces to any chemicals that contain trichloroethylene or
methylene chloride, such as paint removers and furniture strippers.
•
Maestro Quartz is extremely tough and resistant to normal wear, but is not indestructible. Do not
abuse the stone. Do not cut directly on the surface because it may cause scratches. Deep
scratches and chips are not repairable and are more noticeable on solid colors.
•
Products containing oils or powders may leave residue. Should your surface accidently be
exposed to any of these damaging products, rinse immediately with water to neutralize the effect.
