are a couple of things you need to do to before
it arrives. Generally, installation will start within 2-3
weeks of your purchase date, so you should use
that time for these important preparations.
Floors
-Remove any existing floorcovering. Carpet Court can easily organise this for a minimal fee. If you are doing it yourself, it is important NOT to move or remove the existing wooden strips.
-To make removal easier, vacuum your existing floorcoverings one final time and open all doors and windows.
-After removal, clean and vacuum the floor to remove dust and dirt.

Who will be using the space?
I live in a home with two dogs, a cat and a three year old son, so these inhabitants come with a certain set of rules.
Whether you have pets, young children, teenagers or if you’re a woman who favours stilettos, you will have a different set of
requirements. Consider all of the people, furry family members included, who will live in the space and think about what flooring
will best accommodate them. Do you want something cool under foot like tiles or concrete, or carpet to keep your feet warm in
winter? Wood flooring is a happy medium and can be made warmer with rugs.
What level of durability does the space require?
Dark wooden floors aren’t a great match for pet hair and claws, nor are soft wooden floors ideal for high heels. As a general

1. Combine flour, Garam Masala, Cumin
& Chillies in a bowl. Season with a little
Salt then add chicken & toss to coat.
2. Heat the ghee in a large non-stick pan
over a medium heat. Add chicken & any
remaining flour mixture, cook & stir for
6-7 minutes, or until chicken is cooked
through. Add peppers, cook & stir
for 2 minutes then add the tomatoes
& sugar. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes,
until tomatoes are softened & form
a thick sauce.
3. Combine the yoghurt & mint in a small
bowl. For each wrap place 1 tsp of the
lime pickle in the centre of each naan,
then divide the chicken & pepper mixture
equally between them. Drizzle with the
mint & yoghurt raita, then serve.

There is never one answer to design challenges but Carpet

internal finishes with the most solutions and variations so here
are some tips to help you choose the right one for you.
“I believe the home is the ultimate in self-expression. You want
your personal style to shine through and updating your blinds

As with all interior design decisions the first place to start is to set
your parameters and understand your constraints. Tiles for living
spaces will have different requirements to those of a bathroom,

suppliers that the tile you’re specifying is right for the area you’re
thinking of using it.
“You’ll also need to look at things like gloss level and slip rating
from space to space. Some tiles may work better on walls than
floors or some may suit one space better than another, so make
sure you double check with suppliers and installers to be sure
you have made an appropriate choice,” he said.

tile will be about as basic as you can get in terms
of ease of installation, while small mosaics sheets,
whilst fairly common, take a little more care and
craftsmanship, so may cost you more to lay.
“Basically the more attention to detail your tiles
require to lay the better and generally more
expensive the trades person needs to be. Also
be sure when you’re buying your tiles that you are
working to quantities handed down to you by your
builder or tiler. You don’t want to over or under
order,” he said.

1/2 cup chia seeds
1 cup Meko coconut water
3/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup light or full-fat coconut milk
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
1.Mix chia seeds and the coconut water in a
bowl, and soak for at least 10-15 minutes.
(Until it forms a gel-like consistency.)
2.Using a hand blender mix coconut milk,
raspberries and maple syrup.
3.In a glass or glass jar scoop in quarter of
the chia mixture, then top with a layer of
raspberry sauce. Repeat for the last half of
the mixture and in a second dish.
4.Serve chilled and top with shredded
coconut, nuts and raspberries.
