My Prayer Life
We often talk about our 'prayer life.' We might say that it is strong, or weak. I have
never heard anyone say that they wanted their prayer life to be worse. No, we all want our
prayer life to increase. But how does it increase? What is a 'prayer life' though?
Maybe our prayer life is not where we want it to be because we talk about it, and
treat it like it's another part of us. Instead of having a stronger prayer life, how about we
become stronger pray-ers. If we continue to try to have a life in the world and a separate
life of prayer we should not be surprised when our prayers feel weak.
The challenge in this new year, as we are trying to become better Christians, is to
dedicate THIS life to prayer...not a separate one!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your request be made known to God." Philippians 4:6
