Congratulations on being the first
Gear Up & Go! graduating class.
You completed a highly successful first year with Gear Up & Go!
We are so proud of the effort you put into Gear Up & Go!
because you made the program what it is: a fun and exciting
way to stay active and healthy!
With summer right around the corner you will have plenty of
options to play outdoors and stay active in sports, summer
camps, clubs and backyard games. Your PowerPods are yours
to keep and summer is a great time to earn more points!
In this pamphlet, you can find a list of all the locations to sync
your PowerPods.
Be sure to check out the website for summer SyncStation
updates www.snocohealth.org/syncstation-locations.
And always remember: have fun and keep movin’!

Check Out These Summer Programs!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County
This summer Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Snohomish County will launch Gear Up & Go!
summer activities in late June with an event
at our offices. Bigs & Littles can attend the “launch party” to pick up their
PowerPods! We will offer weekly challenges and prizes such as wristbands,
water bottles, t-shirts and more! Bigs & Littles can set their own activity goals
or follow the challenges set by the agency. Summer is a great time to stay
active whether it’s outdoors or at the YMCA! Our office is located just three
blocks from the Everett YMCA and 1 block from the Everett Public Library.

Summer Recreation Programs
There are many options for summer recreation at
the Pavilion including day camps, fun theme weeks
and field trips for kids. Before and after camp care
is also available for those needing extended care. Aquatic activities include
swimming lessons, Marlins Summer Swim Team and Aqua Kids Day Camp
for kids ages 4-7. Dancers will enjoy our themed camps such as the “My First
Dance Camp”, “Mermaids & Pirates”, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz
camps for kids of various ages. We offer sports camps such as Skyhawks
Golf, Multi-sport, Flag Football, Minihawks, Lacrosse, and Baseball. Also Kidz
Love Soccer, Tennis Team, Camps and Lessons, and the MLT High School
Basketball Camp will keep kids running all summer! Adults can keep fit with
Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba, conditioning and a variety of dance classes including
East Coast Swing.
There is something for EVERYBODY at the Recreation Pavilion so visit
www.mltrec.com or call (425) 776-9173 to learn more!
Sno-Isle Libraries (all locations)
Looking for ways to keep your kids active during
summer vacation? You can keep their minds
active with Explore Summer: Fizz Boom Read! at
Sno-Isle Libraries. Studies show that children who
read four to six books over the summer avoid the “summer slump” and
maintain their reading skills, while children who read ten to twenty books
improve these skills. The summer adventure for kids begins by signing up
online at www.sno-isle.org or picking up discovery notes at any Sno-Isle
Library to earn a free book and the chance to win a bicycle. Then explore
our electrifying summer lineup of fun, fabulous and free activities. These
programs, focusing on science, technology, engineering, the arts and math,
help children discover and learn on their own, promote critical thinking and
connect children with library resources and services that support them in
further exploration.
GET UP
GET ACTIVE

all summer. Get up and get active at the Y!
