Rutland - Melton International CiCle Classic
(Professional Road Race)
Sunday 26th April
Britain’s longest running one day International cycle road race
and arguably the biggest single day sporting event in the East
Midlands. The event is unique in that it blends rough farm tracks
along with wide highways along its 185 km route. Starts in
Oakham with plenty of viewing points along the route.

BAND CONCERTS
Melton Mowbray Town Estate holds regular Sunday afternoon band concerts throughout the summer months which are very
popular and well attended. The free concerts start at 2:45pm and finish at approximately 4:30pm. They take place in the
Bandstand, New Park, Melton Mowbray. Seating is available, but due to popularity visitors may wish to bring their own.

Melton Mowbray is rich in history & heritage and has a number of trails around the town centre. Look out for the Blue Plaques,
especially on Burton Street, which indicate important historical buildings. Heritage leaflets can be picked up at the Carnegie
