Who we are
Solis was founded by Dr. W. Schaufelberger in 1908. He invented
the famous Solis heating pad and brought it onto the market
at the beginning of the twentieth century. A ground breaking
range of professional hairdryers followed in 1933 with hairdryer
production in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1983 the entrepreneur
Willi A. Nauer took over Solis and now his son Thomas Nauer
manages the business with 3 strategic business divisions: Hospitality, Professional and Retail. Nowadays production is located in Ticino, Switzerland and Solis appliances are available in
more than 40 countries around the globe.

From professional to hospitality use
Since 1933 Solis has been producing Swiss Made hairdryers for
the world’s best hair stylists and now for the first time Solis has
developped a range of Hospitality hairdryers based on professional standards, for the discerning hotel and spa.

Strong Hairdryers
Poor air pressure and low specifications is the reason many hotel hairdryers are slow to dry. Our newest hairdryer, The Swiss
Perfection Hairdryer, has 50% more air pressure and 40%
greater airflow than average hairdryers. It also includes Ion
Technology which ensures the best possible hair drying result.
Custom Design Capabilities
The high level of vertical manufacturing gives you flexibility and
thereby allows for customisation of the hairdryers. Refine your
hair dryer with your hotel logo or a bespoke colour. Please consult
us for your requirements. For instance, for the Hairworld World
Cup 2012 and 2014 competition, Solis manufactured SOLIS Swiss
Perfection hairdryers for 2 of the participating countries.
Manufactured with precision and 100% quality control
In Mendrisio, Switzerland, each hairdryer is produced to the
highest standards, starting from the housing by using precision
injection moulding machines to the final assembly by hand.
Each hairdryer has to pass a rigid quality control prior to being
shipped to hair stylists and hotels around the world.
Safety comes first
Customer safety always comes first. All Solis hairdryers built
according to highest safety standards, including safety thermostats to prevent overheating. All hairdryers are approved by the
various regulating bodies and have all necessary certification
standards.
The Italian and Swiss teams participated at the Hairworld World
Cup 2012 working with bespoke
SOLIS Swiss Perfection hairdryers
and won the first and third place.
The Swiss team won also in 2014.

Safety always comes first
All Solis hairdryers are built according to highest safety standards and are approved by various regulating bodies. Right from
the start of the development of any new Solis product, safety
is the top priority.
Not only safety and usability are a top priority, but also the environment.
Overheating Protection
All Solis hairdryers are fitted with a protection against overheating. Safety thermostats cut off to prevent overheating and automatically turn on again when the temperature has dropped
below a certain threshold. This minimises the risk of a fire caused
by overheating.
Energy saving thanks to Ion-technology
Ion-technology does not only make the hair shinier, smoother
and less static, but it also considerably reduces the drying time.
Recyclable packaging
All packaging is recyclable.
Ecological manufacturing
Material is recycled whenever possible.
Minimalisation of risk of injury
Solis hairdryers are made out of light yet extremely strong materials. Thereby, performing well and safely also when heavily

RoHS compliable

Protection class II for improved safety
All Solis hairdryers are built according to protection class II. Devices with protection class II have reinforced or double insulation between the main circuits and the output voltage or metal
housing.

‘throwaway society’ and wastage, thereby is making its contribution by reducing the carbon footprint.
Keep away from water
Even though Solis hairdryers are built for the utmost safety,
never place haidryers too close to a water source. Solis therefore recommends that all hairdryers are placed a minimum of
60 cm away from any water source at all times.
Local regulations
Only have the installation of wall-mounted models performed
by a professional technician and adhere to your local laws and
safety regulations.
