Every year beginning July 1, residents of Miller Place and
Mt. Sinai School Districts may choose to have the Port Jefferson
Free Library or Comsewogue Public Library as their home library.
Simply present two proofs of residency with current name and
address to apply for your new library card. All household
members must register at the same library.

Visit us during Port Jefferson Village’s 2nd Annual Heritage Weekend! Go back in time and visit the historic Port Jefferson Library.
Enter through the historic front doors which are normally closed off,
wander at the historic reference desk, view paintings by local artist,
Leon Foster Jones, and children can enjoy period activities & stories!
The Friends of the Library will be running a lemonade stand with
snacks and treats and a guided walking tour. New this year will be
a Geocache hunt throughout the village! Don’t miss out on the fun!

Using Lego Mindstorm Education NXT Base Sets & Software, explore the
world of engineering by building complex automated control systems
with sensory tools and code blocks. A registration fee of $50 for PJFL
cardholders is due when signing up, checks only please, payable to
the Port Jefferson Free Library. In person registration for PJFL cardholders begins July 1 in the Teen Department. Non-PJFL cardholders
can register (space permitting) in person starting July 11 in the Teen
Department. A registration fee of $100 (checks only, please) is due at time
of registration and should be made out to “Port Jefferson Free Library”.
Registration fee is non-refundable. Attendance is a prerequisite to
join the Library’s Lego Mindstorm Club for the coming school year.
