or part of any drive on the
computer. With the secure file

have access to a DOS prompt
yet, not be able to alter or delete
_iles that are protected.
Internet Settings
•
Internet Settings are used to
configure the filtering of Web
page access on a workstation
using Microsoft Internet
Explorer and/or Netscape
Navigator. Fortres 101
intercepts all browser traffic
through its filter, applying the
settings from this window.
Diagnostics
•
Fortres 101 records all file
operations that it alters or
blocks. Then the list is
displayed in_the Diagnostics
window. This allows for easy
accommodation of the file
access needs _f any DOS or
Windows program.
Central Control
•
Shut down, reboot, or log off
remote computers with Central
Control. Central Control is the
network add-on to Fortres 101.
When Central Control is
purchased and installed on a
network server, Fortres 101
upgrades can be distributed to
remote computers.
Enabled/Disabled Property
Window

Using the Enabled/Disabled
property window, configure the
Fortres 101 security by _imply
selecting Enabled or Disabled.
Installed Application Property
Window
•
The Installed Application
property window displays the
contents of the Start Menu for
_he computer currently being
configured. Easily select which
items may not be executed _y
placing a check mark next to
the program or folder name.
Drive Selection Property
Window
•
The Drive Selection property
window is used for the drive
protection features in Fortres
_01. Administrators can easily
protect the individual drive by
placing a check mark in _ront
of the desired drive letter.
Shut Down Property Window

The Shut Down property
window is used to set the
default shut down behavior of
the Computer.
String Editor Property Window
•
The String Editor property
window allows administrators
to enter information such as a
proxy server address, port
number the external proxy
server is using, or text of a Shut
down window. List Editor Property Window
•
The List Editor property
window is used to provide a list
of programs, directories, files,
or Registry keys that Fortres
101 will allow access to or
protect.
Shell Object Property Window
•
Use the Shell Objects property
window to control access to
icons on the Windows desktop.
Icons can be configured to open
with a password or not open at
all.
Privileged Application
Property Window
•
Using the Privileged
Application property window,
configure certain applications to
have special access to files on
the hard drive.
Individual Privileged
Application Property Window
•
The Individual Privileged
Application property window is
used to give specific access to
the hard drive for the program
or directory being configured.
The window contains three
tabs: Files Not to protect,
Directories that May be
browsed, and Registry Access.
URL Property Window
•
The URL property window
allows a list of URLs to be
entered. This property window
is only used for Internet
Settings.
