Mary was instrumental in starting the annual book discussions in Greene County that have been held since 2007 Planning & Promotion Tips PROMOTION Send a news release to: Local newspaper Local online news Local radio station (be interviewed or tape an announcement) Local cable TV station (paid ad) Chamber of Commerce weekly email blast Posters around town and in all county libraries Library website Library Facebook (every week) & other social media Library newsletter Email news release to other media outlets in surrounding area / adjoining communities or counties Local schools – invite classes Bank/business marquee Book stuffers or bookmarks Book display in the library (a big stack of multiple copies gets their attention!)
