be more than a quarter cm). Use a nail clipper to cut it straight A.
2. Nail shaping. Nails should be neatly shaped. File your nails in a slightly
rounded shape with a nail file B.

b. Facial Hair

Visible facial hair growth on female staff is not acceptable (hair growth
appears on the upper & lower lips, chin below lips and ear –to- ear).
Facial hair can be removed by threading, tweezing and waxing. Alternatively
light hair growth can be bleached to minimize appearance. Please consult a
beauty salon if you need assistance.


Eyebrow shaping
The shape of the eyebrow is correct when the beginning of the brow is
aligned with the center of the nostril and the arch falls over the back third
of the eye.
16
Tweezing and Trimming
to Shape a Perfect Brow
1. Before you start tweezing, use a lip or brow
pencil to heavily draw on the shape you want; you
can adjust it with makeup remover as you decide
on the shape you want to create.
2. Once the shape is drawn on, tweeze any hairs
that fall outside the line of the brow.
3. Next, brush the brows straight up with an
eyebrow brush.
4. Any hairs that are too long and floppy should be
trimmed with small scissors. Tweezing long brow
hairs rather than trimming them can result in gaps
in the eyebrow or create a patchy appearance.
Slant Tweezers: Perfect for eliminating even the
most stubborn stray hairs, these professionalquality tweezers are the perfect tool for all your
hair-removal needs. Use the point to tweeze
smaller hairs and the broader more slanted side for
general tweezing.
Tip: Pull hair in the direction of the hair growth

The benefits of using make up brushes
Most people overlook the importance of using application tools, like brushes,
when applying make-up. Applying it with your fingers is not the same as applying
it with professional brushes.
Using Application tools will:


Makes the Application process easier.
Makes the Application of the make up even and balanced instead of
patchy and the color is not fading away.
Keeps the Make up clean and uncontaminated.

Maintaining your brushes

Since the brushes are made from high quality synthetic hair like natural
hair you must wash them once a week at home with a mild shampoo and
conditioner.
When you are applying make up on any customer in the shops you have
to clean your brushes straight after the application as a standard
procedure.Skin diseases could be transmitted in that way and the
customer could come back and sue the company. Be careful..

A. Contour Blush brush
Use to apply powder blush. This angled brush is designed to fit into the contours
of the cheek area, for a soft well blended color application.
B. Base Eye shadow brush
Use to apply a base coat of eye shadow all over the eyelid. Made with stable
hair, this brush gives a smooth and even application of the base eye shadow.
C&D. Sponge brush and Standard Eye shadow brush
Used for contouring the eyes. It is recommended to use the sponge brush (C)
when applying the colors from Quattro cubes as it holds the eye shadow well
without letting it fall off. The second brush (D) is useful on matt colors and is
designed to fit gently into the crease and the corners of the eye, for easy
application of contour colors.
E. Blender brush
After applying eye shadow, use this brush for blending. It is soft and flexible and
gently blends the color over the eye area.
F. Angled Eyeliner and Eyebrow brush
Use to fill in eyebrows or for pressing eye shadow along lash line. This brush
defines the brows, to frame the whole face and accentuate the eyes.
G. Lip liner brush
Designed with a flat and narrow head to achieve perfect lip definition. With its
portable, protective cover, it is ideal for travel or makeup bag.
H. Sponges
Use a dry sponge and apply foundation to the face one section at a time until
fully covered, using a downward motion. Blot with the sponge on the areas that
need more coverage.
I. Powder puff
Apply loose or pressed powder with a powder puff or a powder brush for a sheer
finish. The puff is useful for setting the powder especially around the eye area
and preventing the shadow from creasing after a while.

Applying Make up in the sequence below:
Make-over demo
Your make up is part of the brand image and your cosmetics should be applied to
achieve the desired look. Mikyajy is a trendy brand and you must use the same
colors available in the store (refer to the color palette). A basic look can be
created using steps and procedures below. At times there will be new looks
created for seasonal launches and you will receive similar make over
demonstrations to guide you through the look.
Face Make up includes a base, eye shadow, mascara, matching blusher and
lipstick. Make up must always look fresh and keep a very little shine on the face.
Face color palette
Applying Base Make up
1. Apply Eye concealer around your eyes with a concealer brush or with
your finger tips to hide any dark circles under the eyes and other face
blemishes.
2. Spot concealing: concealers should be a shade lighter than your
foundation color. Other color correcting concealers; Green corrects
redness (broken veins on the face) and Mauve corrects sallow ness.
20
3. Apply a sheer to medium Foundation cover on your face using a water
based or oil free foundation. If your skin is dry make sure to apply a face
moisturizer before. The oil free formula helps skin looks smooth and evens
out skin tones. The coverage is medium and gives a matt finish! If you
have a good skin, then pick a sheer foundation.
 For a natural base color try it first on your neck area. If it blends well
than it is the right foundation color for you. Apply it with a make up
sponge on your face and spread it to your hair and ear lines or use
your fingers.
21
4. Finally set the foundation with loose powder using a brush or a powder
puff by pressing and rolling on the face and under the eye area. This will
keep the face Make up longer and give you a cleaner look.
 If your face is oily reapply pressed powder throughout the day which
will prevent the shine! You can finish with Skin glow to add shimmer,
and luminescence to your face and body. You can apply it on the
apples of cheeks, temples, forehead, nose, chin and neck.
Applying Eye make up
1. Base color. Use an eye shadow brush, sweep a light color over the entire
eyelid to brighten the area and create a smooth base for layers of color.
Color chosen: Pink No.04 from Star lights range. Lightly dab the brush
on a piece of tissue to get rid off the excess color then apply it on the eye.
2. Eye shadow. Next apply a medium to dark color to the crease with a
sponge brush, starting at the outer corner and working inwards. The color
should fade as it gets closer to the bridge of your nose. Repeat this time
working from the inside corner of the eye in an outwards direction. Color
chosen: Purple color from Quattro cubes No.04. Use a blender brush to
blend the colors together so it looks more natural.
22
3. Highlighter. From the top of the second shadow to your brows, apply your
third shadow. Color chosen:
Pink No.9 from All Eyes range. Can be applied with a small brush.
4. Upper lash line. With an angled eyeliner brush, apply a dark shadow
along your upper lash line and concentrating the color at the outer corners
and lightly pulling it up into the crease of your eyelid.

3. Highlighter
Color chosen: Charcoal from Quattro cubes no.03 or Dark grey line &
shadow pencil No.09 from the Sabaya range.
5. Lower lash line. Draw a line under your eye and smudge it to get a softer
look. If you have big eyes apply also the line inside your eyes. Same color
see above.
23
6. Eyebrow definer. Soften and blend brow color by sweeping the eyebrow
brush in an upwards motion through your brow hair. This disperses and
blends the shade. If the color looks too dark, take a piece of cotton and
wipe it away. Always look for a shade that matches or lighter than your
hair color. Color chosen: Brown 02 from Sabaya range.
7. To apply Mascara, begin at the lash base. Work the brush into your
lashes and sweep the wand through to the tips. When applying to upper
lashes, tilt your head back and look downwards. Apply one coat of
mascara to the lower eyelashes. Finally lightly comb through your lashes
to separate them and remove any clumps of mascara, starting your comb
at the base and combing both upper and lower lashes.( For extra impact,
apply a second coat of mascara to the outer edges of your top lashes
only. Color chosen: Black Volume Mascara by Lovely lashes.
Applying Lipstick:
1. Lips come in all different shapes and sizes. For general application line
the lips first with a lip liner, using a lip brush and fill the color inside your
lips.
2. Blot reapply and finish with a gloss.

Nayomi Make up
Your make up is part of the brand image and your cosmetics should be applied to
achieve the desired look. Nayomi is a traditional oriental brand and so smoky
eyes will be applied to create the effect shown in steps. Smoky eyes is usually
heavy eye make up using black eye cosmetics but a different color will be used
to create harmony with your outfit (complete face make up see Mikyajy).
Tips on Smoky eyes
1. The crease is very important to the smoky eye and it needs a special
attention. With a purple colored shadow, pick a small amount and work it
into the crease area. Continue until the area is well defined, with lots of
attention to the blending process.
2. Lining your eyes with charcoal black eyeliner can make eyes look small.
Try lining the outer corners of your eyes would enhance the smoky look.
3. With your favorite mascara coat lashes so that they play up the darkness
of the eye area.
