The menu features Emeril’s signature blend of modern Creole/Cajun cooking. The chef de cuisine procures scallops from Maine, pike from the Midwest, chicken from Alabama, and other specialty produce from around the country. Mark Miller won the prestigious James Beard Award as “Best Chef in the Southwest,” and the food in the two restaurants is a true testimony to the award. The Grill Room features different entrées every month, however the “Cowboy” rib steak is a permanent fixture. No meal is complete here without one of the many fresh-fruit margaritas and custom-blended pineapple rum daiquiries. A 10,000-gallon double arch way salt-water aquarium featuring more than 22 species of fish from around the world. Trumpeting animatronic elephants and simulated tropical rainstorms – complete with thunder and lighting – are all placed in lush vegetation. All menu selections are cleverly named – examples are Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Pita, the Primal Steak and Gorillas in the Mist Cheesecake. CABANA GRILLE Seasonal café and snack bar provides beautiful poolside dining at MGM Grand Pool Complex. Features a variety of breakfast entrées including omelets, pancakes and more. Extensive lunch and dinner menu, too. STARBUCKS Gourmet coffees, teas and coffee drinks, along with pastries, candies and chocolates served in two convenient locations. ZURI Zuri offers guests an innovative drink experience. The 100-seat bar serves cocktails along side fruitinfused spirits, Veuve Clicquot Champagne (en-magnum) by the glass, hard-to-find specialty beers from around the world, a cigar humidor and a special menu “for the morning after the night before.” THE CITY OF ENTERTAINMENT MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA Barbra Streisand christened the MGM Grand Garden Arena, performing for the first time in 20 years. This 15,200-seat arena has also hosted the Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson and the championship boxing matches of Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson. THE HOLLYWOOD THEATER Experience acts like Tom Jones, Rodney Dangerfield and Jay Leno among other great performers in this intimate 650-seat contemporary theater. LA FEMME THEATER A first for America and Las Vegas, a show direct from one of the hottest night spots in the world, the original Crazy Horse in Paris, famous for its productions celebrating beautiful women and the art of nude since 1951. 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. nightly, dark Tuesday. Guests must be 21 years of age for admittance. STUDIO 54 MGM Grand is home to Las Vegas’ hottest nightclub, Studio 54, featuring state-of-the-art sound, video and lighting, live dancers, wall walkers, and chart-topping dance music. Voted “Best Dance Club” for 2000, 2001 and 2002 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 22,000-square-foot nightclub offers four dance floors and bars, an exclusive area on the second floor for invited guests, and several semi-private lounges capable of accommodating up to 400 people. From dynamic images bouncing from every surface, to tables with living, breathing imagery, Tabú strokes each of the senses but leaves everything to the imagination. SHOW MOVE-IN / MOVE-OUT Thirty (30) days prior to a show, the Convention Services Manager will contact the convention meeting planner to review and confirm the move-in and move-out times and dates. Move-in/move-out times are between 6 a.m. and midnight. The Convention Services Manager must approve any exceptions to this time frame. Prior to move-in, a representative of the group, the outside company and MGM Grand Security will walk the area for an official inspection. At this time, cleanliness and state of repair will be noted, and any cleaning or repairs needed, will be scheduled. This is for all areas the group will be utilizing, e.g., parking lot, driveways, loading dock, service hallways, foyers, and actual exhibit area (including apron of permanent stage), etc. The show will be inspected according to the Fire Marshal-approved floor plan. The group prior to the show opening will correct any violation. At the conclusion of each show move-out, a representative from the group, the outside company and MGM Grand Security will walk the areas of MGM, both inside and out, for a final inspection. Mutually agreed upon damages caused by the group or outside company will be recorded and submitted to the Convention Services Manager who will, in turn, coordinate the repairs with the Engineering Department. All labor and materials will be billed to the group at cost. Full payment is required within thirty 30 days of billing date. The outside company will be responsible for leaving all areas of MGM Grand in the same condition, they were in prior to move-in, less normal wear and tear. Therefore, it is necessary to have all audio-visual and set-up requirements for functions of 300 or more at least 45 days prior to the function date. CLARK COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORM FIRE CODE - PERMIT INFORMATION Clark County Ordinance No. 2289, Title 13, Chapter 13.04 Clark County Fire Department requires that a floor plan must be submitted for approval by the Fire Inspector for every function of 300 or more people or exhibits for 50 or more attendees. Floor plans must be submitted to the Clark County Fire Department at least 21 calendar days prior to start of the function. MGM Grand is assessed fees by Clark County Fire Department: Regular Permit $80.00 Expedite Permit* $140.00 The cost of the fire permit(s) will be billed to the group’s master account, pending approval. Props and decor must be included on submitted floor plans. All floor plans for functions being set up and produced by MGM Grand will be submitted to the Fire Department by MGM Grand. Any floor plans submitted by an outside production or decorating company must be reviewed and authorized by MGM Grand Convention Services Manager prior to submitting. Production or decorating companies must send a copy of the Fire Inspector approved plan to your Convention Services Manager prior to actual move in. Set up will be delayed if we have not received those plans. Expedite Permit charges are assessed on each floor plan submitted less than 10 working days prior to the function. Our goal is to provide you and your group with the premier conference experience and assist you to maximize results. The following guidelines are provided to help assure the safety of your group while at MGM Grand. FIRE PREVENTION is one of our primary safety concerns. MGM Grand Conference Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art fire prevention and sprinkler system with 24-hour monitor control by MGM Grand personnel. In the event of a fire, call 55911 on a house phone to report the incident. In order for the system to be fully effective it is most important that there is no interference with sprinkler heads, fire extinguishers and fire exit doors. It is also important to assure that you never block designated emergency exits and pathways with displays, stanchions, freight, or other materials. Your Convention Services Manager (CSM) must approve all displays and decorations. Mylar balloons are not allowed. All display decorations must be treated with fire retardant. Do not bring any fuels or flammable materials into the Conference Center without clearance from your CSM. notice will be given by a whistle alarm and a flashing strobe light. Listen for voice instructions over the PA . Remain in your meeting area and evacuate if instructed to do so. Do not take escalators or elevators in an emergency evacuation. Use only the emergency stair exits. MGM Grand Security will arrive on the scene to direct and assist. Follow all directions issued by MGM Grand Security Officer. EMERGENCY EVACUATION is limited to the open prefunction areas only. Please refrain from smoking in the offices, meeting rooms and rest rooms. Carriers are: Federal Express, UPS, DHL, Air-Group Express HANDLING CHARGES (SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE) The dimensions of freight items are limited to 5’x5’x5’, total weight not to exceed 15,000 lbs. per event. Shipments in excess of these dimensions or weight should be referred to a local exhibit company for special handling. Multiple package shipments, which weigh over 100 lbs., will be classified as freight and will be charged accordingly. Certified weight tickets or bills of lading are required for all shipments. Documents must be faxed to MGM Grand Business Center (702) 891-3036 not later than five business days prior to the arrival of shipment. Shipments arriving without prior arrangements may be refused. MGM Grand personnel will handle freight and package processing only. Any shipment received from carriers prior to move-in date will be charged a storage fee of $5 per 100 lbs./cwt. per day. At the end of your event, items will be picked up from your location and delivered to the common carrier. All shipments must be crated or palletized and shrink-wrapped to be accepted by MGM Grand. Inbound and outbound labor charges are based on the incoming weight. All weights are rounded off to the nearest 100 lbs./cwt. There is a minimum charge of $55 per shipment. The above rates do not include skidding, unskidding, shrink-wrapping, or in-house movement. The hourly labor rate for these services is $50. Minimum charge is $50. In the event additional signage is required, you will need to submit a request in writing and include a sample of the signage and planned locations. Additional signage is not permitted until you have received approval from your Convention Services or Catering Manager. If approval has been granted, all signs must be 28” high x 22” wide, professionally printed and flame retardant. MGM Grand will provide sign stanchions. MGM Grand Productions must hang all banners at prevailing rates. Affixing any materials to the walls, floors, ceilings, or furnishings is not permitted. SPOUSE PROGRAMS Fashion shows, models, property tours, sightseeing tours, gaming seminars, shopping tours, and more, can be arranged by a Destination Management Company.
