The Knights are the world’s largest Catholic men’s organization with over 2.0 million members. We have Councils and Assemblies located in North, Central and South America, the Philippines, Poland, the Ukraine, Lithuania, and South Korea. There are other Councils and Assemblies located on United States territories such as Guam and Puerto Rico and on U.S. military installations in other countries. It should be noted that Texas is the largest jurisdiction in the world with over 100,000 members now that the Philippines were divided into more than one jurisdiction by the Supreme Office. The requirements for joining the Knights of Columbus include having attained the age of 18, being a practicing Catholic (ability to receive the sacraments), not belong to the Masons and not be a convicted felon unless you have completed your sentence and parole requirements. Our Council here at St. Mark includes approximately 325 members.
