Seed Extract, which are known to increase
firmness, reduce puffiness and help reduce
a fatigued look in the eye area. ARTISTRY™
Creme LuXury Eye is also fragrance-free, which
is more appropriate for the sensitive eye area.
Was the product tested on animals?
ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye was not tested
on animals. We conduct clinical and consumer
testing with human volunteers.

The ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye product
has been thoroughly tested on groups of
individuals with sensitive skin. There was no
evidence of an allergic response or extreme
irritation. However, we recognise that no testing
programme can guarantee that all individuals
who wish to use it will not have a reaction.
ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye should be used
every day, in the morning and the evening, after
using the ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury facial
moisturiser. In the morning, be sure to also apply
a layer of sunscreen.
Why is ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury
Eye recommended for both day and
night use?
I used the ARTISTRY™ Creme
LuXury Eye and experienced some
skin sensation. What should I do?
The delicate eye area is extremely prone to the
effects of both extrinsic and intrinsic ageing
factors. ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye is
designed to replenish and repair at night and
to energize and protect the eye area during the
day. It is the definitive solution to addressing
both extrinsic and intrinsic ageing factors and
reducing many major signs of ageing in the
eye area for the woman who desires the most
benefits in one luxurious creme.
Tingling sensations, a slight stinging or mild
redness were not reported during the
pre-market testing programme. But each
person’s tolerance for these sensations is
different. If redness develops or the sensations
become more severe, the consumer should

day and night, after cleansing and toning, and
before application of any moisturiser product.
For optimal effects, apply Creme LuXury Eye
with the ring finger to entire eye area (upper
and lower). Use a gentle 360° tapping motion,
moving from the inside eye area outward.
ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye has been
clinically tested on and is suitable for all skin
types. It was developed for individuals aged 25
and older who have experienced skin damage

of two important botanical ingredients: hydrolyzed
lupine protein and medicago sativa (alfalfa) seed
extract. These two botanicals help to improve

Creme LuXury Eye contains an exclusive AMWAYmanufactured liposome containing caffeine and
Centella Asiatica to also help reduce dark circles

What is the difference between
extrinsic and intrinsic ageing?
Extrinsic ageing refers to damaging effects that
come from outside the skin, such as sun exposure,
smoke, pollution and other environmental stresses.
Intrinsic ageing refers to the damaging factors that
are generated by the metabolic processes that
occur in the mitochondria of our skin’s cells. Intrinsic
ageing is controlled by genetics and is part of the
natural ageing process.
What are Mitochondria?
Mitochondria are tiny organelles inside every cell
that provide the energy needed by our skin. The
primary job of the mitochondria is to create ATP.
ATP is important in the skin because it provides the
energy needed for each skin cell to properly perform
its given role. Mitochondria can become damaged
as a natural result of living. During the process of
producing energy, free radicals are released, which
can overwhelm our natural defenses. The damaged
mitochondria become less efficient and fewer in
numbers. Accordingly, ATP production declines
and the cell will not have enough energy to perform
properly. Skin, especially in the delicate eye area, will

Cardiolipin. Cardiolipin is a unique and precious
lipid, similar to that found naturally in the skin. The
Cardiolipin in ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye
replenishes this vital lipid, thus helping to energize
the skin in the delicate eye area. It also helps to
protect the mitochondria from oxidative stress.
The material is obtained through a bioengineering
process that begins with soybean oil.
Roxisomes™ are a natural source derived from
botanical extracts from the plant Arabidopsis
Thaliana. In vitro, the extract has been shown
to help repair oxidative damage to the DNA in

in specially engineered liposomes to enhance

help scavenge free radicals, so it has an additional

How is this delivery system for the

contain any ingredients derived from
animals?
ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye contains
squalane, a lipid derived from shark liver oil, and
sterol lipids from purified wool grease. These
ingredients are also used in other ARTISTRY™
products.
Does ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye
contain gluten?
The delivery system used for the Cardiolipin/LCarnosine is a specially engineered liposome
based on natural lecithin phospholipids, which
helps to deliver the ingredients into the skin.
The ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye formula
does not contain any wheat ingredients. But it
does contain an oat derivative, so we would not
characterize this product as gluten-free.
What makes the NUTRILITE™

How quickly will I see a difference in
my skin?
If I have bad sunburn, can I use this
product?
Results are individual and depend on many
factors such as age and condition of the skin
in the eye area. Clinical testing showed an
immediate improvement in skin smoothness and
reduced dryness in the delicate eye area. Fine
lines were reduced in two weeks. Dark circles
were significantly reduced in as little as four
weeks and sagging and puffiness in as little as
eight weeks. After the first application, consumer
testing conducted on ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury
Eye showed significant improvements for the
following: skin felt softer, smoother, moisturised
and firmer; skin was younger-looking, looked
brighter and appeared more lifted. Continuous
improvements in consumers’ perception of their
skin were achieved within four to eight weeks of
product use.
How about after a chemical peel or
laser treatment?
How long will the benefits of a
treatment of Creme LuXury Eye last?
The benefits of Creme LuXury Eye will last with
continuous use, but the user must also use a daily
sunscreen to prevent further ultraviolet damage
and follow a regular skincare regimen to help
maintain results.
How does the skin “act 15 years
younger”?
A clinical study was originally conducted using a
published method that correlated the mechanical
properties of the skin with panelist age, in order
to predict a calculated reduction in apparent
age after use of the ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury
product containing CellEffect technology. A re-test
of ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye containing
exactly the same amount of CellEffect technology
as the original product, and using the same
bio-instrumental method, confirmed the same
improvement in the mechanical properties of the
skin. This corresponds to the skin acting “15
years younger”.

Generally, we do not recommend that any
cosmetic product be used after a “bad”
sunburn or any treatment that causes extreme
inflammation. The product should only be used
after inflammation has subsided. For use after
chemical peel or laser treatment, one should
consult the physician.
Can I use this when I’m pregnant?
Ingredients in ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury
Eye have been shown to be safe for use by all
women. Safety studies of cosmetics are not
conducted on pregnant women. Considerations
regarding whether or not to use this product or
other consumer products such as coffee, aspirin,
etc should be discussed by the patient with her
doctor.
Is ARTISTRY™ Creme LuXury Eye
ophthalmologist-tested?
Yes. It is also safe for contact lens wearers. It
has been allergy- and dermatologist-tested. It is
suitable for all skin types, is mild to the skin, nonirritating and gentle.
GLOSSARY
Antioxidant—molecules that can safely neutralize
oxygen-based free radicals and stop the free radical
cascade before skin structures are damaged.
ATP—Adenosine Triphosphate, a multifunctional
nucleotide which transports chemical energy within
cells for metabolism. ATP is the main energy source
for the majority of cellular functions.
Cardiolipin—a unique and precious lipid used in
Creme L/X and Creme L/X Eye, which is similar to
that found naturally in the mitochondria.
CellEffect—A unique approach from ARTISTRY
to deal with oxidative stress and the accumulated

Collagen—a fibrous protein that is the chief
component of connective tissue (skin and tendons)
Glycation—process which occurs when UV light
exposure activates the sugars naturally present in
our skin. Once activated, these sugar molecules
bind to collagen and “crosslink” them to other
collagen strands. The once smooth and supple
collagen turns hard, coarse and inflexible.
Intrinsic Aging—refers to the damaging factors

Liposome—microscopic spheres manufactured
from natural or synthetic fatty substances that
include Phospholipids derived from soy lecithin.

Crosslinking—developed through the glycation
process which stiffens collagen strands that were
formally flexible and elastic.
Dermal Structure—skin is made up of two primary
layers, the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis,
