Included in the Libraries of Noble
County organization, NCPL again
participated in the 11th annual
KidCity event held at the Noble County Fairgrounds in August.
In keeping with this year’s booth
theme, “Winter in August”, participants played in artificial snow,
checked out an igloo
made of plastic jugs,
read winter-themed
books and made
snowmen from homemade molding
dough. They also received an ice pop.
KidCity serves as a place to
educate and inspire youth from all
over northeast Indiana. The event is
staged in a pseudo-city made up of
five neighborhoods. Each neighborhood is filled with fun, tangible learning experiences for tots through middle-school kids and their families.
Look for it next year!
The popular Craft
Therapy classes are
held monthly. August
class members
assembled scented
candles in Mason
jars (right). Look on
page 3 for a list of
remaining Craft
Therapy classes for
2015.
