Glades Day School Issue 6 September 16,2015 Lower School NEWS Tickets may be purchased from a 5th/6th grade student. Expression of dramatic art through Reader’s Theatre. The class did a fabulous job presenting their play today. Congratulations to the following students for receiving the Citizenship Award for August. They are: PreK-3: Camdyn Carter, PreK-4: Cody Davis, K5: A’Zariah Upshur, 1st Grade: Brooke Sisnett, 2nd Grade: Alyssa Brewer, 3rd Grade: John Kihohia, 4th Grade: Dalton McKinstry, 5th Grade: Hana Lohmann and 6th Grade: Molly Stevenson. This Thursday, September 17th, Moya will be here to take the Gatorettes individual and group pictures. Please send your daughter dressed in her Gatorette uniform to school. Also, pack a school uniform for them to change into after the picture is taken (we will help the younger girls get changed). Please be advised if your daughter shows up not dressed in her Gatorette uniform, she will not be able to participate in the group picture. www.gladesdayschool.com 561.996.6769 Academics, Athletics, and spiritual Challenge Dates It is time again to start clipping Box-Tops for 1st Challenge: Education. When Glades Day School earns .10 2nd Challenge: Oct. 9, 23, 30; Nov. 6, 20 cents for every Box-Top coupon, those earnings can add up quickly. Help Glades Day reach it’s Box-Tops goal this year. Students who turn in $1.00 in Box-Tops by Thursday, Oc- 18, 25; Oct. 2 3rd Challenge: Dec. 4; Dec. 18; Jan. 15, 29; Feb. 5 4th Challenge: Feb. 12; March 4, 11; April 8, 15 tober 1st will receive a “No Uniform Day” on Friday, October 2nd. Moya will be at Glades Day School on Thursday, September 17, 2015 to take professional photos of GDS Fall Sports Athletes. Athletes are to bring their uniforms to school on this day. Everyone will be photographed for the team photo and only individual photos will be taken of those athletes that have a “Caught Ya!” is an incentive program that was instituted several years ago. Students are recognized by going above and beyond what we consider to be good behavior. If a student is “CAUGHT”, he/she will receive a pencil and have a change for a lunch date with the Head of School. The “Caught Ya” winners for the month of August are: Madison Baez and Hana Lohmann. Parents are invited to join us for Morning Devotions every Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. in the gym. completed form and full payment. If you are unable to print out this form, they are available in the Thursday, Sept. 17th: Southwest Taco Bowl, Upper and Lower School Office. The fall sports include Seasoned Ground, Beef served over Rice with Black Gatorettes, all volleyball teams, all football teams and all Beacns and Shredded Cheese, Salsa and Dessert cheerleaders. Friday, Sept. 18th: House Made Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza served with a Side Salad, Dessert, and Choice of Side Monday, Sept. 21st: Homestyle Chicken Bowl served with Mashed Potatoes, Seasoned Corn, Fruit, and Dessert Tuesday, Sept. 22nd: Soft Beef Tacos with Mexican Rice, Chips with Salsa, and Cinnamon Churro Wednesday, Sept. 23rd: Spaghetti with Meatballs with a Garlic Breadstick, Caesar Salad, and Mixed Fruit Cup Home of the fighting gators!
