Please be assured that we are in constant contact with these parties to ensure that we can inform you of their plans and potential impact it will have on travel and commuting. Please keep checking the People & the Park website for regular updates but in the meantime, we have produced an overview of the projects, which we hope you find useful. d n Roa Milto A34 to Oxford & M40 d Roa Sutton Courtenay Foxhall Road, Didcot Milton Hig hS tre et Abing don R oa d Steventon Bridge 1 ton Sut STEVENTON Network Rail High A338 et Stre Entrance 1 What? Direct access between the two Enterprise Zones of Milton Park and Harwell Oxford, via the A34 will be achieved, reducing pressure on the local highway network. The north facing slips will complement the capacity improvements at Milton Interchange. When? Funding has been secured for the project and construction is provisionally scheduled to begin in January 2015. 2 3 H rne ou agb l Hil A417 CHILTON A34 Drainage works 3 Highways Agency What? When? Work started on 1 December and is expected Please note that information provided here is to the best of Milton Park’s knowledge and is subject to change. Milton Park is not responsible for the accuracy of this information and it recommends you visit each project’s individual websites for continued and complete project updates. www.miltonpark.co.uk/peopleandthepark In order to accommodate the new trains and electrification infrastructure, Network Rail needs to reconstruct the bridge over the railway at Foxhall Road, Didcot. To facilitate these works the bridge will need to be closed for approximately six months with a signed diversion route in place for vehicles. A temporary footbridge will be installed to maintain pedestrian access throughout. During this time, the footbridge providing access to Didcot Parkway station’s car park will also be reconstructed. A separate, temporary footbridge will be available throughout. When? The bridge has been closed from 28 July 2014 for approximately six months, the scheme is on schedule to complete in January 2015.
