The Laurentian
University gym
was the scene
for the annual
Ontario Sudbury
Camp. Many
were in atten
-dance for some
good training
and fun, as is the
custom every
year. We even
had one of our very own
kids from the Etobicoke
Dojo, Cristian Lacopo
attend the seminar. This
6 year old go-getter
volunteered to perform
his kata by himself in
front of the 60+ students
in attendance. Way
to go Cristian! We
even did some
training in the pool
which involved
karate and some
synchro swimming
(we all finished with
a new respect for
synchronized swimming!). All in all,
everyone had a
great time and we look
forward to seeing
everyone next year!
Halloween Costume Day 2012
On Saturday October 27th,
the Etobicoke Dojo was
filled with kids in costume
from the classical, scary
vampires and werewolves
to the fairytale princesses
and even oscar the grouch
(can and all)!
After going over safety tips
for trick or treating, and
surviving the haunted
obstacle course, the kids
were treated to some sweet
treats. A great time was
had by all!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Kids Sleepover
With only 2 sleepovers in the year, everyone (including
parents) waited with anticipation for the November
Sleepover. This sleepover was all about learning the
art of the ninja...TURTLE Style!!! The kids learned
various traditional weapons and found out quickly that
weapon training can be a very humbling experience.
After class, we had Michaelangelo's (of the Ninja
Turtles) favourite meal...PIZZA! It was not long before
the infamous pillow fight ensued led by the ninja
turtles in training; Sydney and her sidekicks,
Stephanie and Alana. The evening was finished off
with a movie in line with the theme for the night,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Everyone had fun and
left with a great experience!
