lovely Keelung’s historic sites and Yeliu Park’s astonishing rock

DAY 13 (MAR 20) KYOTO (KOBE) Explore Japan’s third
largest city, Osaka, on this intriguing half-day tour. One of the
gateways to ancient Japan for traders from China, Korea and
the Asian continent, Osaka played a vital role in the introduction
of new technologies in ceramics, forging, construction, and
engineering. Today, this modern port city combines historical
and cultural attractions with all the delights of a Japanese urban
marvel. Your included excursions will take you on a half-day tour
following a 90-minute panoramic drive from Kobe to Osaka,
where you will see the impressive landmark, Osaka Castle. One
of Japan’s most famous castles, it played a major role in the
unification of Japan during the 16th century. Built on a plot of
land almost one mile square, the castle compound contains
thirteen structures, designated as Important Cultural Assets
by the Japanese government. Visit the Dotonbory Street and
Umeda Sky Building Observation Deck for magnificent views

DAY 17 (MAR 24) TAIPEI (KEELUNG) Surrounded by mountains
and crisscrossed by rivers, Taipei is the center of Taiwan’s (Republic
of China) government, economy and culture. On your included
half-day tour, discover Taipei, a modern and cosmopolitan city
infused with ancient culture and traditions. You will begin with a
drive from the busy port of Keelung to dynamic Taipei. Your first
stop is the prestigious National Palace Museum, boasting one of
the world’s most important art collections, originally housed in
Beijing’s Forbidden City. Continue with a visit to the remarkable
Martyrs Shrine, built in memory of those who sacrificed their
lives in founding the Republic of China. Your next stop is the
beloved Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial, built to commemorate the
life of the leader of Nationalist China who moved his government
into exile on Taiwan in 1949. Leaving the sights of Taipei behind,

DAY 18 (MAR 25) CRUISING THE TAIWAN STRAIT This is your
last day on board the elegant Insignia; savour the moment,
enjoy the high tea ceremony at Horizon Lounge, do some last

DAY 19 (MAR 26) HONG KONG, CHINA Your cruise comes
to an end as you disembark the beautiful Insignia. After
disembarking, your included half-day Hong Kong Island tour
will take you on a sampan ride and peak tram ride. Enjoy lunch
at Café Deco and transfer back to your hotel, where you will

DAY 20 (MAR 27) HONG KONG Today you have a free day.
Experience old and new Hong Kong with its ultra-modern highrise buildings beside street markets and lovely temples. Visit the
boat people in Aberdeen and shop in Stanley Market or stroll
through the bustling Temple Street night market. Visit Hollywood
Road with its temple and antique shops or take a junk cruise and
explore the magnificent bay. In the evening, join the rest of the

DAY 21 (MAR 28) HONG KONG Your magnificent vacation is
