Terms and Conditions of Use
The CITGO Guaranteed Efficiency Program brochure and forms are incorporated herein by reference. In the event that a
test has been properly completed but does not meet the predefined test goal set by CITGO, a Test Product Reimbursement
Form can be submitted by the fleet to the CITGO Account Manager. The form must be received by CITGO no later than 60
days after the test end date. If CITGO determines, at its sole discretion, that the test goal was not met, the CITGO Marketer
will be reimbursed for double the purchase price of the qualifying test engine oil used in the test engines as shown in the
provided HD Engine Oil Savings Calculator report. Other supplemental efficiency products, under a qualified test, will be
reimbursed at double the purchase price, not to exceed, a fair and reasonable value as determined by CITGO Petroleum
Corporation. In the event that a test engine fails during the test period, CITGO shall only be responsible for the reasonable
costs of repairs to the test engine for damages directly caused by the CITGO test products. CITGO reserves the right to
investigate any claim for damages, including engine failure, prior to reimbursement. The specific Terms and Conditions
of Use herein constitute the entirety of this agreement and all other agreements, either verbal or written, are hereby
superseded. EXCEPT THOSE EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE AGREEMENT, CITGO HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND
ALL REPRESENTATIONS, GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS OR
SUITABILITY OF THE PRODUCT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE NOTWITHSTANDING ANY COURSE OF PERFORMANCE,

Heavy-Duty Engine Oil Test Program
CITGO Lubricants is confident that we can improve
the efficiency of your fleet. We guarantee cost savings
through improved fuel economy or optimized drain
intervals. The CITGO Lubricants Guaranteed Efficiency
Program is designed to allow fleets to test and evaluate
CITGO Lubricants at no risk in order to demonstrate
significant cost savings that can be achieved by either
of our two testing options:

Fuel Economy/Miles Per Gallon (MPG)
Optimization – guarantees up to 3 percent fuel
economy savings
•
Oil Drain Interval (ODI) Optimization –
guarantees up to triple time between oil changes
The bottom line is by switching to CITGOrecommended products during a testing period,
you will save up to 3 percent in fuel economy or up
to triple the time between oil changes as monitored
through our proprietary in-house LubeAlert® Oil
Analysis Program, guaranteed, or double your
money back.
How It Works
1. Test Start – A CITGO Account Manager meets with
the Fleet to assess fleet maintenance goals and
operational considerations. Either a MPG or ODI
test is selected and electronic control module (ECM)
data tracking capability is confirmed. A qualifying test
engine oil is selected and a cost savings calculation
is performed using the HD Savings Calculator. The
CITGO Account Manager determines a target MPG
percentage or ODI optimization improvement test
goal. Supplemental efficiency products may be
chosen to complement test product. Only one test is
permitted per fleet.
2. Test Qualifications – Test engines must have
consistent operating conditions, without change,
throughout the test evaluation period. A precheck, including taking baseline oil samples from
all test units and submitting existing drain interval
maintenance history, must be approved by CITGO
prior to testing. Test engines must follow original
equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) and filter
manufacturer recommendations. No top treatments
are permitted during test period.
3. Test Launch – CITGO engine oil and supplemental
efficiency products are purchased by the test fleet
from a CITGO Marketer. Oil sampling procedures
and the required oil analysis schedule are confirmed
by the CITGO Account Manager. The test requires
four equivalent units and the quantity of product
purchased should correspond to the quantity
required to complete three oil changes.
4. Test Period – During the test period, engine oil
samples are tested and data is reported by the
CITGO LubeAlert Oil Analysis Lab. Samples must
be labeled properly, taken and submitted on the
recommended schedule. If not, this may result in
cancellation of the program, without test product
reimbursement.
5. Test End – At the end of the test period, a Product
Performance Summary Report with a final potential
fleet annual savings summary is prepared using the
test fleet data. See back of brochure for Terms and

6. Double Your Money Back Guarantee – At the end
of the test period, if test goal is not met, double the
purchase price of the qualifying test engine oil is
reimbursed by the test fleet CITGO Marketer.
