Synopsis Kalmyks say that a camel-shaped cloud brings good luck. A white little colt (celestial
camel) Altynka was born under the such cloud. During the film shooting accidentally dies a white
colt. A dubbing camel is required urgently. The movie-manager arrives at a far-away steppe station
of a poor shepherd Dorzhi. Altynka is sold. The mother-camel runs away in to the steppe in search
of her son. Twelve-year-old Bayir rides to steppe on his father’s old motorbike in search of mothercamel. Bayir meets kind and evil people in the steppe. Summoners of rain, a disciple of Lama, help
him in his way. Bayir meets a teenager named Quarter and they become friends. Meanwhile, at the
railway station, the movie-manager is not able to send the white camel to the film-shooting place.
Bayir and Quarter ride to the railway station by motorbike. There the friends meet both- the mother
camel and the colt. Will Bayir be able to save Altynka and return home with the camel?...

ALEXEY MIZGIREV was discovered as a young
and promising director at the Russian film festival
Kinotavr where in 2007 Mizgirev won The Best Debut
award for his film Hard-Hearted. In the years between

film festivals – he won the The Best Director at the
Locarno Film Festival for his film Tambourine, drum
and his third film The Convoy was featured in the

SYNOPSYS The senior fishery control inspector Trofim Rusanov, elderly, morose and unsociable, considers
all people surrounding him criminals and is unforgiving of even the slightest deviation from fishing rules
and norms of humanity . During his usual route across lakes Trofim gets into conflict with local fisherman’s
and loses his boat. On his 20 km way home around the huge lake he finds abandoned child in hunters lodge.
His 5 days quest through the forest and search after that for guilty mother of the child turns out a quest

The theme of the film is – the revival of spirituality
comes through compassion. “Do not judge lest you be
judged!” The main character has to go through such
revival. As the soul of Trofim Rusanov, an unpleasant,
sullen, rigorous fishing inspector, awakes to goodness
and he begins to heed the voice of his conscience, the
audience unwittingly starts to be imbued with empathy
for him. His path towards the revival of his spiritual
life, mercy and compassion starts with the “Find” –
a small warm living creature, a newborn, found in a
tiny house deep in the forest. Trofim didn’t manage to
save another person’s life, but the incident revived and
mellowed his soul, and aroused sympathy for others…

SYNOPSYS There is a Kingdom lying amid dried up rivers and torrid forests, where birds do not sing,
goats give no milk and people live in constant fear and misery. But this was not always the case, and
many people still remember the time when the Kingdom was under the rule of the wise King. A magic
elixir gushed forth from fountains everywhere, and nobody knew anything of trouble or starvation.
However, eighteen years have passed since the cunning and greedy Ministers came to
power as result of a palace coup. The King disappeared without trace, and the Ministers
took control of the magic elixir, declaring to the people that its source had dried up.
Ruling on behalf of the young Princess, the Ministers imposed extortionate taxes and duties on the people,
sparing no one, not even the old, nor mothers with large families. Disobedience to the new laws is subject to
severe punishment, and nobody dares to argue with the ‘King’s Guards‘. Nobody, that is, except for the famous
brigand, Troubin Hood who robs the Ministers and distributes the booty among the poor. And he is helped by
his faithful friends: Sigmund the Cat, Baskerville the Dog, Petruccio the Rooster and Gretchen the Jenny.
While the residents of the Kingdom spread legends about him, and the Ministers are ready to pay any price
for his head, all Troubin Hood wants is to restore prosperity and the glorious past to the Kingdom.

SYNOPSYS Spring of 1941. German engineer Hans and his colleagues arrive
on a business trip to the USSR glass manufacturing factory.
It was the very time when following the signing of the Soviet-Nazi German Pact (23 August, 1939) and the
German–Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty (28 September, 1939), the USSR and Nazi Germany concluded
several bilateral Commercial Agreements in 1939 – 1941. Thereunder the Soviet Union was to deliver the raw
materials to Germany, and Germany was to supply the latest industrial machinery and technologies to the USSR.
Hans’s story is really dramatic. This is a foreboding story of the approaching war, a story about perturbation of a man who does not realize what is happening with him. As if the first shell were already exploded inside of him.
ALEXANDER MINDADZE was born in Moscow in
1949 and is considered as one of the most acclaimed
scriptwriters and directors in Russia. More than 20 of
his screenplays have been filmed since 1975. Early in his
career he teamed up with acclaimed Russian director
Vadim Abdrashitov, with whom he collaborated on
eleven films over several decades. The film PLUMBUM
was awarded with golden medal at the Venice Film
Festival in 1987, and the Mindadze-Abdrashitov duo
won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1995
for the film A PLAY FOR A PASSENGER. In 2007 his
feature film debut as director, SOAR, was premiered at
Venice IFF. This film received two awards, including the
film critics award for best debut film in Russia. Second
feature film written and directed by Alexander Mindadze
INNOCENT SATURDAY was premiered at Berlin IFF in
2011. Mindadze is the unique Russian scriptwriter who
was awarded with prestigious ENNIO FLAIANO PRIZE
and the SILVER PEGASUS from the Italian Academy of
Culture for “Literature’s contribution to the cinema.”.

in June, 24, 1955. Graduated from VGIK, the institute
of cinematography named after Gerasimov, with
documentary and TV director specialization (the
workshop of professor Kochetkov). From 1984 to
1993 Miroshnichenko worked on Sverdlovskaya
film studio in Yekaterinburg. Since 1993 he worked
at “Trite” Nikita Mikhalkov’s Studio. Since 1998
Sergey Miroshnichenko has his own documentary
workshop at VGIK. In 1999 he was one of the
co-founders of the Ostrov Studio. More than 50
projects have been produced by the studio, including
Russian version of famous 7UP project «Born in
the USSR». Sergey is the laureate of The Russian
state award in 1989, the honored Russian artist.
Films directed by Miroshnichenko were awarded
with “TEFI”, “Nika”, “The Golden Vitaz”, “The Golden
Eagle”, “Lavr”, “Stalker”, “Grierson Commented”,
“Emmy Internatioanl Award” and many others.

The film «Rings of the World» is not just about the first Russian winter Olympics. Pain, fear, desire, the
joy of victory and the bitterness of defeat: the official film of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, created
by decree of the International Olympic Committee (Lausanne), gives the greatest world champions a
human face. Gripping shots taken during the events alternate with interviews of worldwide legends
in winter sports, who express their thoughts on the values of the Olympic games, the philosophy
of the sport, the ever-changing balance of femininity and masculinity in sport and in society…
My goal is to make a film about intellect in sports.
People often say that sport is about muscles. I think
modern sport is about intellect. The forefather of
the modern Olympic movement Pierre de Coubertin
believed that the idea of Olympism has the
capacity to unite people, counteract international
conflicts, aggression that builds up in society.
Coubertin was a true humanist. This is definitely
lacking in our life. There was a time when writer
Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote that humanism
died in the 20th century. I believe that humanity is
not yet lost, and it can find a way that won’t lead
to a dead end. That’s what our film is about.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT Initially we planned to
make a trilogy, rather than a sequel.
For me this film is an attempt to repeat, but to
develop the story of the main hero, showing what
happens after. In Dukhless 2 Max is completely
different: he thinks differently, he has new
friends, everything around is different – in his
life, as well as in the country and in the world.
Despite the modern and trendy context of the story
we tried to focus on serious topics.
The name itself Dukhless (Soulless) determines
the semantic direction of the picture. Our hero
is trying to understand himself, it happens with
people not only in their teens, but also at more
mature age. We were interested to see how
we all changed, how changed the main actor –
now he is not only an actor perfoming the role,
but a person with his own certain message.

“A new screen version of the famous novel The
Dawns Here are Quiet by B. Vasilyev was a risky
undertaking and there were critics scrupulously
assessing the new production and comparing
it with the famous film by S. Rostotsky. That’s
what they say after watching our film: The film
by Davletyarov does not dispute with the film by
Rostotsky and does not refute it. Yes, in some
aspects Davletyarov’s film repeats, in some aspects
specifies but in other aspects complements it.
Indeed, this is another screen version of the novel
by Boris Vasilyev, having a different premise,
treating and screening differently the recollection
scenes immersing the viewers into the pre-war
lives of the heroines, having a different rhythm of
narration, different editing, and a different – one
feels an urge to say a “Hollywood” – scale. The
new Dawns have a new cinematographic form and
epic breathe without losing stirring humaneness.’

the old film by S. Rostotsky and will never watch

director of “Urfin and His Wooden Soldiers”.
SYNOPSYS The cunning and wicked Urfin Jus decides to become ruler of the Wonderful Land of Oz, take
over the Emerald City with his Wooden Soldiers, and rename it to Urfinville. He is all but ready to celebrate

Nurbek Egen was born on
December 3, 1975 in Kirgizia.
Egen’s parents wanted their son to become a scientist
and made him attend a math school but Nurbek
chose his own path and after school entered the
actor’s department of the Institute of Art in Bishkek.
Two years later Nurbek realized that the acting
career was not his ultimate dream, moved to
Moscow and successfully entered the All-Russian
State Institute of Cinematography. After graduation
in 2001 Nurbek shot a movie Sanzhyra which was
nominated by the Academy Awards as the Best
Student’s Film. In 2005 yet another Nurbek’s feature
film The Ancestors’ Chest was nominated as the Best
Foreign Language Film by the Academy Awards and
received the Best International Drama award at the
Young Artists Awards Festival in Los Angeles. Apart
from feature films Nurbek also directs television
projects, his 12 episode drama Moving On was a hit
in Ukraine and will soon air on Channel One Russia.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT This is an action drama about a talented athlete who will do
anything for the woman he loves. The movie does have lots of fights and action but it is still
a love story. Taking the opponent down is a big deal but not the main focus. The protagonist
is fighting his way through to overcome his own fears and win not only in the ring but
in life too, and this fight will be rewarded with the most precious prize – love.
