Shelter’) and Bradley Kaplan, follows Paul McCartney as he journeys
through the streets of New York City in the aftermath of the destruction
of the World Trade Centre on 11 September 2001. It also chronicles
the planning and performance of the benefit concert that took place
less than six months after the attacks: ’The Concert For New York City’.

• An operatically tragic tale is told in Richmond Fontaine’s ninth
studio album, THE HIGH COUNTRY. Songwriter and novelist Willy
Vlautin has written an extraordinarily eccentric album like no other.
More than a concept record, THE HIGH COUNTRY is a song-novel:
a fully realized, novel-sized story set to music.
• Set in a rural logging community in Oregon, THE HIGH COUNTRY
is a gothic love story between a mechanic and an auto parts store
counter girl, whose secret love inspires an effort to escape the
darkness of the world that surrounds them -- drugs, violence, madness,
loneliness, and desperation set against a backdrop of endless logging
roads and the remains of a forest brutalized by logging. In this story
of light vs. dark, Vlautin has woven a tale where fuck-ups and freaks
demonize the lives of innocents.

• Originating from the Outskirts of Brisbane
in early 2010 comes Milestones. Five naive
friends, whom thought they would have some
fun writing the music they loved. They had no
Idea their project would avalanche into what
it is today.
• Milestones did pre production with Troy
Brady (The Amity Affliction) at Studio 454.
They then recorded at Studio 454 with
Daniel Field (Skyway, Apart From This, Thy
Art Is Murder). The record consists of 10
tracks including an acoustic track. The record
shows mature progression with intelligent
and melodic guitar hooks, catchy vocal
melodies passionately yelled and sung with
solid verse chorus structures. The band draws
influence from such bands as Hot Water
Music, Alkaline Trio and Saves The Day.
• Their new record “In Time, Clarity You’ll
Find’ recorded by Daniel Field and Troy
Brady (The Amity Affliction) at Studio 454
features 10 new songs. The record includes
a contrastive acoustic song showing that
their musical awareness extends beyond

• 2011 has been a good year for King Gizzard and the Lizard
Wizard. Recently nominated for an Age EG award, the band have
also landed themselves a plum spot at December's upcoming Meredith
Music Festival. To finish off a stellar year in style, King Gizzard and the
Lizard Wizard unleash their latest EP, Willoughby's Beach.
• Dripping with the sneering insouciance that singles 'Black Tooth' and
'Dead-Beat' had in spades, Willoughby's Beach is as electrifying as a
hurtle down the Princes with the brakes cut and the accelerator jammed
to the boards.
• Siphoned from the fevered mind of Stu Mackenzie and filtered
through the sensibilities of the seven-member King Gizzard and the
Lizard Wizard army, Willoughby's Beach was committed live to tape
in one sweat soaked, adrenaline fueled session at Paul Maybury's
Fairfield warehouse.
• The pulsating drive of 'Danger $$$' kicks off proceedings in fine
form. Infused with a sludgy surf vibe that permeates throughout the
EP, 'Danger $$$' slams through to the dirty rockabilly jive of 'Lunch
Meat'. 'Crookedile', now THIS is what the Ghost Train at Luna Park
should sound like - think Romero, b-grade movie horror goodness and
vampires that most certainly do not fucking sparkle and you're pretty
much there. Following on, 'Let It Bleed' displays a lighter touch and is
about as close to romance that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
get.
• Willoughby's Beach rounds out with 'Dustbin Fletcher', 'Stoned
Mullet' and the EP's title track. 'Dustbin Fletcher', clocking in at 3:09,
is the second longest song on the EP. Opening with a bit of machine
gun guitar to get the knives sharpened before settling into a hand on
your knee groove, 'Dustbin Fletcher' charms as it works its way up your
leg with a litany of 'Whoa, oh, oh, ohs' and 'Oh, oh oh, ohs'. Nice.
