What’s on … July & August 2016 Ac*vi*es Family Link— 01590 677033 Supporng local families in the Priestlands pyramid Lea Hampton, Family Link Officer at Priestlands School Family Link Summer Activities—Free activities for the family Saturday, 16th July Family Pizza Oven Project at Our Lady & St Joseph Primary School, Pennington, Hants SO41 8GY —Bring along the whole family to help build a pizza oven! We will be demonstrating how to cook on the oven at lunchtime where all those helping will get to sample some pizza! Give one hour of your time to help on this fun day. Wednesday, 3rd August at East Boldre Hall 10am—2.30pm. Arts & Crafts event—Beach Party theme! Bring along a picnic and a blanket too. There will be plenty of things to make and do and outdoor games. Thursday, 4th August Summer Day Trip to Tile Barn Activity Centre. Minibus spaces available. Leaves Priestlands School at 9.30am returns at 2.15pm. Alternatively you can meet us at Tile Barn at 9.45am. We have twenty spaces available. Please book by calling the number below. Wednesday, 31st August 10am—2pm Family session at Fun2Fish. (contact Fun2Fish to book—see over) Two new Parent Support Advisors have joined the Family Link Team; Liz Lawrence and Louise JayEvans. We will be announcing new parenting courses commencing in September shortly…... Tuesday, 2nd August 2016 11.30am—2.30pm at Woodside Gardens, Lymington. Families welcome with children of all ages. No charge. The Family Link programme has supported families with workshops, paren*ng programmes, ac*vi*es and one:to:one support over the last 4 ½ years. The programme has been funded by The Big Lo;ery suppor*ng Family Link Workers in the primary schools, a Family Link Officer organising events and a Parent Support Advisor to work with families in *mes of need / crisis. We are now in the processes of researching other opportuni*es to con*nue funding this project. With the possible closure of the local Children’s Centres there is even more need for families to have independent help and support when they need it.
