in 35 to 45 min.
Ranveli house reef:
One of the best house reefs in South Ari Atoll. As Ranveli lies just inside a channel, the
rich ocean currents which runs into the channel attracts a lot of marine life to the house
reef and the coral growth is extensive because of this.
On the house reef lays a barge which went down 15 years ago. It is only 70m away from
our main jetty. The top is 20m and the bottom is 30m with a sandy bottom. Groupers,
Snappers, Sting Rays are found on this barge. And also White Tip Reef Sharks patrol
nearby. Very often we see turtles, napoleons, eagle rays, scorpion fish, stone fish,
different types of morays, different types of nudibranchs and even sometimes frog fish
can be seen. The house reef is very good for snorkellers and divers.
