Oregon. Cutting Edge Illusions Custom Painting and Aftermarket Motorcycle Parts
Manufacturing opened our paint booth for our first project in 2003 and we have paint
thousands of projects since and manufactured thousands of VROD airbox covers and rear
fenders.
We serve customers from all over the world utilizing our state of the art website and internet
tools to collaborate on designs and project status. Our talented painters have painted a wide
range of designs and styles for our thousands of satisfied customers. Each of our projects
are done by hand and incorporates some or all of our proven techniques; realistic flames,
layout flames, tribal blades with or without airbrushed bevels, multi-layer layout, smoke
effects, our signature marbling, ghosting, and murals from line art to photorealistic images.
Quality
Our 4,800 sq ft shop houses three large 14’ by 26’ booths. We use our semi downdraft
booth for all paint application, our 14’ x 26’ infrared over for baking and curing, and our
cross-flow booth for all metal and fiberglass bodywork and bike customization projects. We
make our intricate stencils with our cutting plotter, computer drawing tablet, and art vector
programs to make our customers’ dreams come true. Our artists are thoroughly trained in all
of our products to achieve the highest level of detail and quality.
Customer Service
At Cutting Edge Illusions we specialize in customer service. You are welcome to come to
our shop, if you should find yourself in Oregon, and meet our painters before the painting
begins. Our staff designer is always available to work out the exact theme you want before
any paint is sprayed.
We leverage the internet as a tool to keep customers completely involved in their project.
Once we receive your parts we will create an online photo gallery where you can track
the progress after each step. We like to work collaboratively with our customers getting
feedback after each step to ensure that the result exceeds all expectations.
Aftermarket Parts Manufacturing
Cutting Edge Illusions manufacturers a line of aftermarket parts including our national
recognized VROD Ram Airboxes and style Prostreet Rear fenders. Our custom VROD
Airbox cover is offered as a direct replacement to your factory airbox, or you can upgrade to
a Ram Airbox that houses either your factory guage or the Dakota Digital gauge. Our custom
rear fenders were designed with both style and performance in mind. The light housing is
removed to provide a clean and sleek look with a custom groove that houses high powered
LEDs for brake and turn signals.

Cross Fire
Our “Cross Fire” design will get your bike revving down
the stretch! This paint design offers a blend-fade from
jet black to deep kandy apple red back to jet black
along the sides of each part. Underneath this true
kandy apple red is an ultra flash course metallic
which shines through our transparent kandy. There
is mostly black on this design and the red areas are
deep and subtle until the sun is beating directly on it
and our vivid colors are activated. Over the fades is
an innovative blend of real flames airbrushed in very
deep kandy apply red. We applied our proprietary
clear coat process leaving this design buried under 10
thick high gloss coats of clear.
Our clear coat is UV protected
and self healing; there is no
need to even wax it. The
underside of each fender has
been undercoated as well as
the tank filler cap lip sealed for
ever lasting protection.

entire design. It all sits on top of a
jet black under-base. The effects
get a a rich, "wet" look, as if you
can dip your fingers into it, due

This paint design shows off our signature custom, hand air-brushed realistic flames
at their best! Red and orange flames, with a touch of yellow flow over the dark brown
under-base through the entire bike in a most mesmerizing
way. The flames flow in and around the hand air-brushed
caduceus symbol on the front fender and the
same goes for the Harley-Davidson script writing
on both sides of the tank and the HD shield logo
on the back fender. With our proprietary coating
method, the flames have a deep, “wet” look that
really pops out in the sun!

Our “Strapped” design may be just what you’re looking
for if you want something innovative with a lot of airbrushed
3D! This design features an original blade layout with beveled
edge effects appearing to look tapered done only with a
secondary hand layout. Inside these silver beveled
blades is our signature leather detailed to the
highest degree and done in dark leather
jacket colors to match your gear. These
Harley scull logos are all airbrushed and
worked into the layout with an overlapping
blade. Drop shadows were applied to add
dimension and a floating effect to the graphics.
Under all this is a blend-fade from jet black to deep kandy

This set began with a deep 3D hand
airbrushed, ruby red marble effect followed
by shadowed and detailed tribal flames. The
flame design has rounded beveled edges for
extra depth. Each flame was then airbrushed
with fine grains to add texture.

This paint design has our custom air-brushed brandywine flames running over the entire
body, including the frame. There is a black outlined blade
design running through the flames, done in a very subtle
way so as to blend in with the jet black under-base. With our
coating process, the flames achieve such depth and richness,
they appear to be swirling aound when the sun is shining on
this paint job!

This custom paint set is done in a kandy purple
velvet over a flake base with a heavy density
signature marble effect. A blade design pinstriped in
black provides movement and flow
over the kandy radiance.

This Harley-Davidson V-Rod features realistic fire with metallic
graphics which are chiseled at the edges to give the illusion of
being machine routed for an ultra-realistic 3d effect. This is all
done over a high gloss Ultra-Orange under-base with the words
“V-Rod” weaved into the flames on the back fender.

Very high-gloss deep Burgundy paint job over entire frame.
Airbrushed Black tribal designs, one with edged blade effects
and one a bit more subtle, weave in out with each other
through-out entire frame. Rich in detail and design on this
paint job.

The theme of this paint work was to be a
bit old school. Using vibrant purple and
green colors and marble effects
achieves a new twist on the
design. Two sets of flames are
overlapped to create dimention.
