I. GENERAL INFORMATION
HISTORY
The Yavapai College Performing Arts Center was completed in 1992, with a Grand Opening Ceremony
featuring a performance by the Phoenix Symphony. Since then, the Performing Arts Center
and its
1150 seat theater has served hundreds of thousands of patrons, and played host to a variety
of locally
and nationally known performers and shows such as the Prescott Pops, Bill Cosby, The
Oakridge
Boys, Itzhak Perlman, the Texas Tenors, the Smothers Brothers, Garrison Keillor,
The Nutcracker
Ballet, and tribute bands for artists like ABBA, the Eagles, and the Beatles. In 2011
Yavapai College
completed major renovations to the Performing Arts Center in anticipation for its
20th anniversary.
In addition to fixing cosmetic issues, Yavapai College also installed new
lighting and
sound systems,
as well as new audio visual technology that would allow the
Performing Arts Center to feature live
events from companies around the world such as the
Metropolitan Opera, the Globe Theatre, the L.A
Philharmonic, and Lincoln Center.

SLS – LS8695 –- Ribbons are on stage
The LS8695v2 is a bi-amped true line source
array column, which produces an extremely
tight vertical sound field. The unique design and
properties of the planar ribbon driver allows
precise acoustical coupling of the array and
hence, full utilization of line source (cylindrical
waves) benefits. Coupled with eight, close
coupled 6.5” woofers, the LS8695 produces full
range bandwidth at extremely high sound
pressure levels.
