HIGHER
EDUCATION
The Greater Prescott Regional Economic
Partnership (GPREP) encompasses the
Quad Cities of the City of Prescott, Town of
Prescott Valley, Town of Chino Valley, and
the Town of Dewey-Humboldt in Yavapai
County. These municipalities, private
businesses, institutions of higher education,
local organizations, as well as several
state and federal departments are working
cooperatively to project a unified regional
identity in order to build a vibrant and selfsustaining regional economy.
The unique mix of institutions of higher education is
a true asset to the communities and the businesses
located within the Region. World Renowned EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University is located in Prescott,
as is Prescott College and Yavapai College. Northern
Arizona University maintains a campus in Prescott
Valley. Residents do not have far to travel in order to
fulfill their educational goals, which may be a certificate
in welding or a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education. The
Region’s business community works in partnership
with the local school districts and higher education
to ensure their workforce has the skills and education
necessary to compete in the global marketplace.
