YAVAPAI COUNTY, ARIZONA OUR MISSION HIGHER EDUCATION The Greater Prescott Regional Economic Partnership (GPREP) encompasses the Quad Cities of the City of Prescott, Town of Prescott Valley, Town of Chino Valley, and the Town of Dewey-Humboldt in Yavapai County. These municipalities, private businesses, institutions of higher education, local organizations, as well as several state and federal departments are working cooperatively to project a unified regional identity in order to build a vibrant and selfsustaining regional economy. The unique mix of institutions of higher education is a true asset to the communities and the businesses located within the Region. World Renowned EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University is located in Prescott, as is Prescott College and Yavapai College. Northern Arizona University maintains a campus in Prescott Valley. Residents do not have far to travel in order to fulfill their educational goals, which may be a certificate in welding or a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education. The Region’s business community works in partnership with the local school districts and higher education to ensure their workforce has the skills and education necessary to compete in the global marketplace. Nearly 36% of those working for area employers have obtained a post-secondary degree.
