These beautiful 1937 Depression-era
Art Prints were created by the
NATIONAL COMMITTEE
FOR ART APPRECIATION,
spearheaded by Eleanor Roosevelt herself.
The project was later abandoned and the
prints were left in a warehouse—
until their rediscovery in 1964 by
The E. Joseph Cossman Company
of Los Angeles, who reassembled these
masterpieces into The Treasures of Art
Portfolios. The remaining collection of
prints were recently donated to the
Printing Museum.
