Earth Day by reinforcing the drug take back program, launches
its pet medication website and offers complimentary, newly
designed prescription pill bottle caps to seniors.

Earth Day - Benzer Pharmacy Reinforces Drug Take-Back Program for
Consumer Drug Disposal to Commemorate Earth Day
Benzer Pharmacy joined the environmental movement worldwide in
celebrating Earth Day. The pharmacy is helping customers prevent the
misuse of their unused medications by offering ‘DisposeMyMeds’, a
prescription drug take-back program, in partnership with the National
Community Pharmacists Association. This drug take-back program only
accepts non controlled medications and is available at our stores in
Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Virginia, and North Carolina. “Pharmacists are the health care professionals seen last by patients
before medications are used and Benzer is also there for patients when
medications go unused or expire,” says Emah Madegwa, Benzer
Pharmacy Media and Public Relations Manager. “Unused or expired
medications pose risks to our families, communities, and the
environment,” adds Emah.
Once the unused medication is
collected, it's taken back to Sharps
Inc, who use high temperature
incineration for safe disposal. This

Association of Specialty Pharmacy
Through this membership, Benzer
Specialty Pharmacy will have access to
the NASP Center for Specialty Pharmacy
Education, the official continuing
education website focused on specialty
pharmacy practice. Benzer specializes in specialty drugs and
also focuses on patient management
programs for people with complex
chronic diseases, including: hepatitis,

South Florida Seniors To Receive Innovative,
Complimentary Prescription Pill Bottle Caps
Benzer Pharmacy, the Tampa-based chain of 56 retail
pharmacies in the US, has partnered with Visiting
Angels of Southeast Florida to offer Remind-a-Cap,
the innovative, new prescription pill bottle cap that
schedules the next dose and increases compliance
among patients.
Under this partnership, Benzer Pharmacy will be the
exclusive pharmacy pharmacy for Visiting Angels of
Southeast Florida’s local Family Advantages
Program.
In addition to prescriptions with complimentary
Remind-a-Cap pill bottle tops, Visiting Angels clients
will receive individual care through their local
pharmacy, a personal relationship with their
pharmacist and team, no-cost delivery and shipping
of all medications, and discounts.
