“Musical Afternoon at the Museum” on April 11:
(1) From left: Cristie Hammond, Paul Lindquist, Joyce Avers and Mary Herron listen
to Oil Derrick Music Box playing “Deep in the Heart of Texas”. Music boxes and
musical instruments, on loan from Historical Society members , are on display at the
Historical Museum through June 6.
(2) Our Museum’s 1916 Victor Talking Machine was demonstrated by Historical

The subject of the Historical Society’s special summer exhibit, “Vintage Kids”, will
include a collection of youth-related toys, clothing, and games that can be played,
such as a contest to identify a variety of animal pelts. The goal of the exhibit is to
allow our community’s younger generation to explore and learn how children
played, dressed, and lived in earlier times.
If you are willing to lend our Historical Society your items from the 1900s that
might fit into this exhibit, please contact Mary Herron at 614-519-9824 or email
[email protected]. The name of each donor will be displayed alongside the vintage items which will be locked in the Museum’s display cases.
