Box 707 Belhaven, NC 27810 Benefiting The Pungo District Hospital Foundation Pirates on the Pungo offers racing for sailors at every level of experience including classes for sailing dinghies, PHRF spinnaker, nonspinnaker and recreational non-spinnaker boats. There’s even a fun race for cruisers who do not regularly race. New this year is a Classic Boat class for wooden boats and boats whose design is at least 50 years old. Captain’s Reception hosted by Pungo District Hospital Foundation Featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres and music by Island Time Entertainment. Two days of sailboat and dinghy racing on the Pungo River and Pantego Creek. There are classes for every level of experience! One-Design classes may be established when (5) or more boats of a single type are entered in the regatta by July 15. Buccaneer Bash Dinner/Dance featuring a sumptuous buffet by Keyzer Catering followed by dancing to the Big boat races can be seen on the Pungo River, and dinghy races on Pantego Creek all along Water Street from Pungo District Hospital to River Forest Manor. Sailing photographs compliments of www.coastal-photography.com Pirates on the Pungo Regatta is a Pungo District Hospital Foundation Fundraiser River Forest Manor is the anchor site providing dockage, accommodations and keel boat launches at reduced rates to Regatta participants. Free trailerable boat storage available prior to the event! Free launching and trailer storage facilities at the NC Wildlife ramp in Belhaven! Free camping space available by reservation! Free registration for boats whose captains and crew members are under age 18!
