Imari Station Building
The terminal train building, located in the center of the historical and
cultural city of Imari, has a very modern structure uniquely including the
traditional white-wall-storehouse style. The Station Building is devided
into the East side-Building ( Japan Railway ) and The West side-Building
( Matsuura Railway ) by the North-South Route.
These two buildings are connected by the footbridge adjacent to the
symbol tower shaping like a kiln chimney.

While reconstructing the Matsuuraichi
Brewery, workers surprisingly discovered
a legendary"water imp" mummy ("Kappa

wonder at an alcohol (sake) brewery,
which needs pure water, for "Kappas"
would reside around lakes, ponds, and
rivers.

the grounds of Imari Shrine ) was dedicated
to the " God of Sweet Fruits. " This shrine
also houses the " Tree of Perpetual Youth

by Lord Tajima for the Japanese Emperor.
The fruit of the Tachibana tree, a type of
mandarin orange, was offered to the God
of Sweet Fruits. The Tachibana tree still
stands next to the Nakashima Shrine.
