Folio, half leather binding which has been rebound in contemporary binding, very good condition, consists of 12 parts. Volume 1 containing parts 1-7, with the original title page for each part, Volume 2 contains parts 8 to 12, the last part was completed by Henry Deane in 1894 after Fitzgerald’s death. At the conclusion of Part 12 is the contents for all 12 parts. Contains 109 full size plates, with ten being double-page spreads, plates were handcoloured. The drawings are by Robert Fitzgerald with the lithographs by A. J. Stopps. At half price this is the chance for the collector of fine books and illustrations to purchase such a beautiful item.
