Children’s Storytimes
Children’s Storytimes
Each storytime program is full of entertaining,
age-appropriate stories and activities that encourage
literacy development and help your child prepare to be a
skilled reader. Caregivers attend with children for all
storytimes. Registration begins September 14. Program
runs September 28-November 19.

Book Buddies & Book Buddy Helpers
Book Buddies: Students entering second, third and fourth
grades are invited to team up with an older student to
work on building better reading skills through reading
aloud, activities and games. Book Buddy Helpers:
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to team up with a
younger student to help them build better reading skills
through reading aloud, activities and games

MUFON is the oldest and largest civilian UFO
investigative organization in the U.S. Join Thomas
Wertman, MUFON state director, as he talks about UFO
sightings, including the object seen hovering over Lake
Erie in Eastlake, OH on March 4, 1988. All ages welcome!

Author Expo 2015
Join us on Saturday, October 24 from 12:00-4:00 pm for
the 3rd Annual Author Expo at the Willoughby Hills
Community Center located at 35400 Chardon Road.
This year we will be featuring children’s and young adult
authors as well as adult, fiction and non-fiction authors.
We will also be hosting a panel discussion from
1:30-2:30 pm sharing insights on the writing and research
process, how to publish and market your book and a
question and answer session.
The library will also be raffling off a Samsung Galaxy
Tab 4 as well as Barnes & Noble gift cards!
Books can be purchased with cash or check. Select
authors and Barnes & Noble will also accept credit/debit
cards. Registration for this event is not required.

Marvelous Mansions of Lake County
During the Guilded Age of the 1880’s, there were Summer
estates and grand hotels on Little Mountain Rd. These
started as Gentlemen Farms and quickly escalated in size
and grandeur as competition intensified. Today many of
the families and homes of this unique time in American
history still remain in Lake County.
