Writing Your Memoirs Level I: The Basics
Instructor: Anne Le Dressay
Wednesdays 10:00 - 11:30 am Sept 14 - Nov 16 (10 Weeks)*
Cost: $50
(8 students maximum )
Writing Your Memoirs Level II: Advanced
Instructor: Anne Le Dressay
Mondays: 10:00 - 11:30 am Sept 12 - Nov 21 (10 weeks*)
Cost: $50 (8 students maximum ) (*no class Oct 10)
Everybody has a story - or stories. You may be writing your memoirs already or just thinking about it.
It may be your whole life story or a specific part: Childhood on a ranch, a career in the Arctic,
a trip around the world, a hobby that turned into a business, a friend or relative or colleague who
deserves to be better known. Whatever your project, this course will provide incentive and
encouragement by means of in-class instruction and memory-jogger exercises, the at-home
assignments, and especially by means of sharing and discussing your work with others involved in
similar projects. You can choose to work on one major project for the whole session or to write a
variety of shorter pieces.
Writing Your Memoirs Level III: Done This More Than Three Times
Instructor: Anne Le Dressay
Thursdays: 10:00 - 11:30 am Sept 15 - Nov 17 (10 weeks)
Cost: $50 (8 students maximum )
By now you have a lot of material, and it begins to feel cumbersome. What now? In this course, you
will get suggestions on how to sort, organize, and revise your material. You’ll still be writing (or revising) every week. You’ll still read your writing to the group for feedback and write in-class pieces.
You’ll still hear passages read from published memoirs. But the instruction will focus on putting it all
together rather than on getting it written in the first place.
Creative Poetry Writing
Instructor: Anthony Berman
Mondays: 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Sept 12 - Nov 21 (10 weeks*) (*no class Oct 10 )
Cost: $50 (8 students maximum)

In this creative and friendly workshop, we will write and
share our poems with one another - along with some
positive feedback to better enhance our work. You will
learn how to write both conventional and constructive
poems and try to get published (if desired). Most importantly this creative workshop is for those who
simply find pleasure in writing, experimenting with different forms of writing and want to be
expressive through creatively writing poetry.
