"German Red Cross Rhein-Sieg goes English"
First Aid Course in English on 12. + 19. November 2011 in Rheinbach
The number of English speakers in our local community is constantly growing.
Therefore the German Red Cross regional office Rhein-Sieg wishes to invite
those with limited understanding of German to a First Aid course thought in
English language. The syllabus is identical to the German First Aid course and
covers the following topics:
- General First Aid requirements
- Approaching the casualty & Emergency Call
- Unconsciousness and recovery position
- Breathing difficulties
- Circulary collapse and CPR
- Wounds and dressings
- Shock
- Fractures and joint injuries
The course lasts for 16 hours and mainly includes practical exercises; therefore
hard wearing cloths should be worn. The provision of theoretical background
information will be kept to an essential minimum.
At the end of the course each successful participant will receive a certificate of
attendance that can be used for various driving and trainer licences, as well as
for recognition as First Aider at Work.
Date: Saturday, 12. & Saturday, 19. November 2011
Times: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Course fee: 40 € or BG-voucher (excluding lunch and refreshments)
Course manual (in German): 4 Euro (optional)
Venue: Red Cross Centre, Römerkanal 10, 53359 Rheinbach (5 min walk from
Rheinbach station. Rheinbach is served by RB23 from Bonn main station
platform No. 5 in 24 min.)
