Durch unser modernes Leben haben sich die
natürlichen Luftbedingungen geändert und oft
herrscht in unserer Umgebungsluft ein Ungleichgewicht elektrischer Ladungen, bei dem positiv geladene Ionen vorherrschen. Diese können physiologische Störungen verursachen.
Zentralheizungen, Klimaanlagen, Rauch und
statische Elektrizität, die durch elektrische Felder entsteht, reduzieren die Anzahl negativ geladener Ionen in der Atmosphäre (welche dazu
beitragen, dass wir uns in unserer Umgebung
wohl fühlen). Deshalb atmen die meisten Menschen sowohl am Arbeitsplatz als auch Zuhause ionenarme Luft. Falmec bietet heute in seinen Abzugshauben eine neue Technologie an,

Modern life has changed the natural conditions
of the air and often, in the environment where
we breathe, we find ourselves in an unbalanced
condition of electrical charges in the air where
positively charged ions which generate physiological disturbances prevail. Also, the number
of negatively charged atmospheric ions (which
facilitate environmental wellness) is forcibly lowered by centralized heating, air conditioning, smoke and static electricity generated by electrical
fields. Therefore, both in the workplace and at
home, most people breathe in ion depleted air.
Today Falmec offers a new technology applied
to its hoods which allows atmospheric ions to
be recreated – through BIPOLAR CONTROLLED IONISATION technology*, ions which not
only decrease unpleasant odours, but also reestablish optimum ionic balance in the living

Dank der durch das E.ion-System erzeugten
Ionen, wird die Raumluft für ein gesünderes
Umfeld gereinigt und verbessert.
Der durch die Ionen erzeugte Prozess neutralisiert alle Schadstoffe in der Luft, wie Bakterien,
Viren, Hausstaubmilben, Pollen, Sporen, Staub
verschiedenster Art, unangenehme Gerüche,
Zigarettenrauch und Abgase. Die Luft wird rein
und keimfrei. Einfach optimal.
Technisch betrachtet ziehen die Ionen in der
Luft Schmutzpartikel an und übernehmen
deren elektrische Ladung. Diese versuchen
dadurch das elektrische Potenzial der Erde
zu erreichen und fallen ohne Schäden zu
verursachen zu Boden.
In der Natur entstehen Ionen bei der Spaltung
von Molekülen durch Sonnenlicht, Entladung
(Blitz), photoelektrische Effekte, Strahlung,
Luft- (Wind) und Wasserbewegungen (Quellen,
Meerschaum, Wasserfälle, Gezeiten).

Thanks to the presence of ions generated by the
E.ion System, the air can be purified and treated
to live in a healthier environment.
The action produced by the ions is one that
neutralises all the polluting agents in the air such
as bacteria, viruses, dust mites, pollen, spores,
various dusts, foul odours, cigarette smoke,
exhaust fumes and purifies, sanitises and optimises it.
Technically, the ions in the air attract polluting
particles and transfer their electrical charge.
Therefore the polluting particles seek to reach
the electric potential of the earth, falling without
causing any damage.
Ions are generated in nature by the splitting of
molecules caused by the action of sunlight,
discharges (lightning), photoelectric effects, radiation, movement of the air (wind) and water
(springs, sea foam, waterfalls, tides).

Aktivkohle besteht hauptsächlich aus Kohlenstoff in Form von Graphitmonokristallen. Diese werden so bearbeitet, dass ihre Struktur
porös wird und eine große innere Oberfläche
aufweisen. Dank dieser Eigenschaften besitzt
Aktivkohle ein hohes Absorptionsvermögen
und kann Moleküle verschiedener Substanzen
auf seiner inneren Oberfläche binden
Zeolith ist ein Mineral mit hoher Mikroporosität.
Es wird vor allem verwendet wegen seiner
Fähigkeit, organische Verbindungen und Wasserdampf zu absorbieren. Dies liegt an den
besonderen Eigenschaften seiner regelmäßigen und mikroporösen Kristallstruktur, die eine
außerordentlich große Anzahl von Hohlräumen
in den Kristallen aufweist.
The active material is carbon, which is mainly in
the form of graphite microcrystals. These are
treated in order to obtain a porous structure with
a large internal surface area. Thanks to these
characteristics it has a high absorbent capacity,
being able to hold the molecules of many types
of substances on its inner surface.
Zeolite is a mineral with high microporosity . It is
sought for its ability to absorb organic compounds and water vapor. This is due to the particular
characterisitics of their regular and microporous
crystalline structure; the crystals have a large
amount of empty space.

Carbon.Zeo ist der neue kombinierte Filter, welcher in allen Produkten des E.ion®-Systems
verwendet wird.
The combined use of coal and zeolite in a single system of filters allows for good filtration and
increases the purification capacity of the E.ion
System.
Carbon.zeo is this combination, used in the new
filter installed in all products of the E.ion System.

WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING.
Carbon.Zeo-Filter bedürfen keiner speziellen
Wartung. Bei normalem Gebrauch sollte man
sie alle zwei Jahre regenerieren und nach
vier Jahren austauschen.
Zur Regenerierung des Carbon. Zeo - Filter einsatzes legt man ihn bei 200 °C für ca.
zwei Stunden in einen normalen Backofen.

Der Sensor in den E.ion®-Produkten registriert
flüchtige organische Verbindungen (VOC), geruchsbelästigende Gase, Formaldehyd, Zigarettenrauch, Ammonium und alle Schmutzpartikel
in der Luft. Er ist daher ein hervorragender Indikator zur Messung der wechselnden häuslichen
Luftqualität.
Diese Information wird in Form der wechselnden Blattfarbe dargestellt, die bei verbesserten
Bedingungen langsam von gelb nach grün wechselt.
Damit hat Falmec eine weitere Funktion eingebaut, die das Potenzial der Ionisierung optimiert.
Auf Wunsch wird die Abzugshaube automatisch
aktiviert, sobald der Sensor eine Verschlechterung der Luftqualität feststellt. Die Luft wird gereinigt und keimfrei gemacht, bis das ursprüngliche
Gleichgewicht wieder hergestellt ist.
The sensor in the e.ion products detects the
presence of volatile organic composites (VOC),
odorous gases, formaldehyde, cigarette smoke,
ammonia and all polluting agents that are in the
air. This is therefore an excellent indicator to measure the variation of domestic air quality.
This information is translated into the leaf colour
which gradually turns from yellow to green as the
conditions improve.
We implemented yet another feature which optimizes the potential of the ionization.
Thanks to the automatic mode, if the sensor
detects a drop in the domestic environmental air quality, the hood activates, purifying and
sanitizing the air untilthe original balance is reestablished.
Carbon.Zeo filters do not require special maintenance. Under conditions of normal use you
should regenerate once every two years and
replace them after four years.
To regenerate the Carbon.Zeo filter insert it into a
normal domestic oven at a temperature of 200°
for around two hours.

Man nennt Ionen auch die “Vitamine der Luft”, weil sie
sowohl auf die Qualität der Luft günstige Auswirkungen
haben, indem sie Schadstoffe eliminieren, als auch auf
die Energie und das Wohlbefinden der Menschen und
anderer Lebewesen (Pflanzen und Tiere).
Insbesondere wirken sie sich positiv auf die menschliche Biochemie aus, indem sie Stimmung und Konzentration verbessern und weitere bedeutende Vorteile für
die Gesundheit mit sich bringen. Sie sind geruch- und
geschmacklose, unsichtbare Moleküle, die wir in unserer natürlichen Umgebung in Fülle einatmen: sobald
sie in unser Blut gelangen, erzeugen Ionen biochemische Reaktionen, die das Serotonin erhöhen (auch als
“Stimmungschemikalie” bekannt) und so Depressionen
verringern, die Stressresistenz verstärken und unsere
Energie im Lauf des Tages erhöhen.
Auf der anderen Seite können bei einer niedrigen
Konzentration von Ionen in der Luft Symptome wie
Ermüdung, Schwindel, Migräne, Depressionen und Kurzatmigkeit auftreten.
Ions are also called the “vitamins of the air”, thanks to the
beneficial effects that they produce on both the air quality,
eliminating polluting agents, and on the energy and wellness of humans and other life (plants and animals).
In particular they have an effect on human biochemistry,
causing improved moods, concentration and other important health advantages.
They are odourless, tasteless and invisible molecules
that we inhale abundantly in natural environments: once
they reach our blood, ions produce biochemical reactions
which increase serotonin levels (also known as “the mood
chemical”), contributing to relieving depression, getting
over stress and increasing our energy during the day.
When there is a low concentration of ions in the air, on the
other hand, symptoms can occur such as drowsiness,
dizziness, migraines, depression and shortness of breath.

Das E.ion®-System ermöglicht den Verzicht auf Abluftleitungen

The expulsion towards the outside of stale
air results in an evident dispersion of heat in
the winter, and of cool conditioned air in the
summer: the energy savings are clear if we
compare E-ion System to a traditional hood
which, when running at full power, can take
in air at up to 800 m3/h and can change the
air in a kitchen up to 25 times in an hour*.

Die manuelle Herstellung dieser Abzugshaube
macht sie so einzigartig. Kleine Unterschiede und
Unregelmäßigkeiten sind keine Mängel, sondern
sprechen für das Handwerk bei der Herstellung.
Die Produktion startet zunächst mit dem Brennvorgang im 1300°C heißen Ofen, anschließend wird
die Außenfläche lackiert und noch einmal gebrannt.
Sodass die Keramikbeschichtung wasserdicht und
kratzbeständig wird und ihre Schönheit unverändert bleibt.

The handmade production of this hood makes the
product unique. Small differences and irregularities
are not a defect but the confirmation of its craft way
of doing. Its production starts with the cooking in
an oven at about 1300°, then the painting of the
external surface that makes the ceramic coating
waterproof and scratch-resistant, for a unchanged
beauty.

Die Natur als Vorbild. Hier werden Ionen bei
Wasserfällen, Meereswellen und bei Blitzen
erzeugt. Ein Ergebnis, wie man es in reiner
Gebirgsluft wahrnehmen kann. Die Erzeugung
von Ionen und deren Verteilung in der Luft geschieht bei Falmec durch ein bipolares elektrisches Feld, das an den von der Abzugshaube
erzeugten Luftstrom angelegt wird.
Die Ionisierung führt insbesondere zu einer
Verringerung von Küchengerüchen, indem die
organischen Moleküle aus der Luft entfernt
werden.
Darüber hinaus neutralisiert sie flüchtige organische Verbindungen und wandelt sie in CO 2
und Wasser um; sie inaktiviert Viren, Bakterien
und Allergene, indem sie deren äußere Membran aufbricht; sie macht Schimmel, Pilze und
Sporen unschädlich, neutralisiert Tabakrauch
und verringert den Feinstaub. Die Ionisierungsfunktion kann auch unabhängig vom Kochvorgang aktiviert werden, wenn man einfach
nur die Umgebungsluft reinigen und keimfrei
machen möchte.
Die Raumluft wird sauber und gesund ohne
den Einsatz von Chemikalien ode UV-Technologie.
Die kontrollierte bipolare Ionisierung verbreitet
kein Ozon in der häuslichen Umgebung.
The process of production and distribution into
the air of ions that occurs in nature in waterfalls,
sea waves and lightning, and which is perceived
in the pure air of tall mountains, is obtained by
Falmec through a bipolar electrical field applied
to the air flow generated by the hood.
In particular, the ionization permits a decrease of
odours in the kitchen through the elimination of
the organic molecules suspended in the air.
What’s more, it neutralises the volatile organic
composites, transforming them into CO2 and
water; it inactivates viruses, bacteria and allergens by breaking their external membrane, it
inactivates moulds, fungi and spores, it neutralises tobacco smoke and lowers particulate
matter.
The ionization function can also be activated independently of the need to lower odours produced by cooking of foods in order to obtain purification and sanitising of the environment.
The air will be clean and healthy, without having
to utilise chemicals or UV technology.
The use of controlled bipolar ionisation does not
imply any spreading of ozone into the domestic
environment.

The controlled bipolar technology
and its adaptation to intake
systems is protected by international
patents.
Geruch ist eine subjektive Empfindung und wird
von jedem Menschen anders wahrgenommen,
sowohl hinsichtlich seiner Intensität als auch der
Beschaffenheit des olfaktorischen Reizes. Um
die Wirksamkeit des Ionisierungssystems zu
prüfen, entschied sich Falmec für das Instrument,
welches als das sicherste für die Geruchsquantifizierung gilt.
Studien und Tests wurden gemäß DIN
EN 13725:2004 im “Dynamic Olfactometry
Laboratory” (LOD) durchgeführt, einer Analyseund Forschungseinrichtung an der Universität
von Udine und Mailand.
Es wurden verschiedene Gerichte und Zubereitungsarten analysiert und Proben von der jeweiligen Luft entnommen. Dabei stellte sich heraus,
dass das Ionisierungssystem, bei günstigen
Bedingungen, die Gerüche um bis zu 95%
verringern kann.
Odour is a subjective sense, perceived differently
for each individual, both with regard to intensity and
quality of the olfactory stimulus. In order to test the
efficiency of the ionisation system, Falmec chose
the instrument which is considered the most valid
for odour quantification.
Studies and tests were conducted at the (LOD)
Dynamic Olfactometry Laboratory, an analysis and
research agency at the University of Udine and Milan, following standard UNI 13725:2004.
We conducted analysis on various types of foods
and cooking, taking the different air samples. It
came out that the use of the ionizing system allows
a decrease of odours greater than 70% with peaks
of up to 95% in the most favourable conditions.
