Godfather of Rock & Roll saxophone! Er war an der
Entwicklung des extrovertierten Saxophonstils
„Honkin“ und ab 1948 auch an der Entstehung
des Rock ’n’ Roll beteiligt. Seine ersten Aufnahmen entstanden im Jahre 1948 für das JohnnyOtis-Orchester, insgesamt sechs Singles die als
„Johnny Otis featuring Jay McNeely“ tituliert
wurden. Die erste eigene Single unter seinem Namen entstand 1948 für Savoy Records (Deacon´s
Hop), und war auch gleich auf Nummer eins der
Rhythm-&-Blues-Charts. Big Jay McNeely, der
“king of the honkers” ist seit über 60 Jahren auf
der Bühne, und immer noch ein Live Act erster
Klasse!!

Godfather of Rock & Roll saxophone! He recorded on many labels (Savoy, Federal....) and had
Rhythm and blues chart success with songs like
„Deacon‘s Hop“, „3-D“, „Big Jay Shuffle“ & the
often covered „There Is Something On Your Mind“.
Born in California in 1927, he formed his own jazz
band while still in high school. But in late 1948,
he abandoned jazz for something more raucous,
and the honked-up instrumental called „Deacon‘s
Hop,“ went to 1 on the national R&B charts in
1949. He was famed for his playing-on-his-back
acrobatics and his raw, hard-swinging playing. He
has been „the king of the honkers“ for over 60
years, and he‘s still going strong!!

British singer, pianist and guitarist Mike Sanchez
is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers of Rhythm & Blues and Rock ‚n‘ Roll in the
world today. His indelible image as a frenetic front
man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the
piano in a soaking red suit, has won him fans from
all over the world and attracted a following from
many famous rock and blues legends who have
lined up to work with him. He will perform in Hohenems with his own UK- 6 piece outfit!

begann Valentina del Pearls im Jahr 2006 Burlesque als Mitglied der Pariser Truppe Bump‘n‘Grind
Honeys. Auch solo war die Dame für zwei Jahre
unterwegs und performte einige Major Burlesque
Events: La Glitter Fever, the Paris Burlesque Festival, Brighton or Edingurgh Fringe Festivals and
Rock ‚N‘ Tease. Ihre eigene Show läuft in Paris, z.B.
im El Clandestino oder Le Burlesque Klub.
konnte alles haben, aber sie beschloss, ihren eigenen Weg zu finden und kam nach Berlin. Aber seitdem scheint es, als ob nur ein Leben nicht genug
für sie wäre und sie liebt es, verschiedene Rollen
zu spielen und auf jede nur denkbare Art und Weise Euch zu unterhalten. Einmal ist sie ein heißes
Pin-Up Girl mit dem Lächeln süß wie goldener
Honig und dann wieder kann sie unwiderstehliche Femme Fatale sein, die mit jedem Blick und
jeder Bewegung verführt - exquisit wie der feine
russische Kaviar. Jedoch bliebt sie stets eins, die
unverwechselbare russische Frau. Sie ist kalt wie
der russische Winter, läuft aber heiß durch Deine
Venen wie der reinste russische Vodka.

It´s time for some Hillbilly, Rockabilly & Rockin
Blues! Played in their very own style with lots
of self penned songs. Influences are Jim Murphy,
Cliff Carlisle, Hank Williams and obscure old Hillbilly on 78s. The rehearsal room of the 4 piece
combo faces the train tracks headin west – you´ll
hear that!
First trained in contemporary dance, Valentina del
Pearls started burlesque in 2006 as a member of
the parisian troupe Bump N‘ Grind Honeys. She has
been a solo artist for two years and has performed
in major burlesque events : La Glitter Fever, the Paris Burlesque Festival, Brighton or Edingurgh Fringe
Festivals and Rock ‚N‘ Tease. She now also runs her
own shows in Paris among which El Clandestino or
Le Burlesque Klub.
Amber Vanilla
Amber Vanilla ist eine echte Russin aus dem Herzen dieses mysteriösen Landes. Sie wurde geboren am Untergang der kommunistischen Ära und
wuchs in Russland während der wilden 90er auf.
Sie hat alles gesehen: die Armen, die Mächtigen,
die Mutigen, die Taffen und die Superreichen. Sie
Amber Vanilla is a real russian girl deep from the
heart of that mysterious country. She was born at
the downfall of the communist era and grew up in
Russia during the wild 90ies. She saw it all: the
poor, the powerful, the brave, the tough and the
billionaires. She could´ve had it all, but she decided
to find her own way, and moved to Berlin.
She loves to play different roles and to entertain
in every possible way. One time she´s a hot pin up
girl with smile as sweet as honey, and the next
time she´s the unresistible femme fatale, tempting with every glance and move - exquisite like
russian caviar.
However, she always is the distinctive russian woman. Cold as the russian winter, but running hot
through your veins as pure russian vodka.
