EXHIBITOR PASSES - FOR ON-LINE ENTRIES ONLY
You will not receive your Exhibitors Pass through the post because they will
be delivered to you through your on-line account. You will be informed by an
e-mail when your passes are ready, which will be approximately two weeks
before the show.
The e-mail will include details on how to print your Exhibitors Pass and any
other Show Information. You must print your Exhibitors Pass and take it to
the show.
Exhibitors making postal entries will receive their Exhibitors Passes by Post in
the usual way.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
REGARDING BENCHING & IDENTIFICATION OF DOGS
It is a Kennel Club requirement that exhibitors display the exhibit/bench number on their crate, cage or
container at all times. This is particularly important when cages etc. are not on benches, and at unbenched
shows.
Each exhibitor is responsible for providing their own crate or cage identification and should note that the
original exhibit/bench number card, as provided by the show society, must not be used for this purpose.
It is important to be able to contact exhibitors and identify dogs where a dog may be in distress or where the
crate might be blocking a gangway.
At benched shows soft crates may only be put on benches if they are the appropriate size for both the dog and
the bench, and the crate can be securely attached to the bench.
Both of these points have been introduced with the safety of all in mind, but most importantly that of the dog,
and to minimise potential incidents and injuries.
The Kennel Club would also take this opportunity to remind exhibitors that Show Regulation F(1).17 requires
that dogs should be present on their benches at all times except when being judged, prepared for exhibition
or exercised.

• IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS •
• No unentered dogs are allowed in the Hall
• A removal order for each dog must be shown at the gate when leaving the showground.
These can be collected from the Chief Steward's Office for any unentered dogs.
• All entry enquiries prior to the Show will be dealt with by Fosse Data Systems Ltd (Tel:
01788 860960 — E-mail: [email protected]).
• Withheld telephone calls made to the Secretary will NOT be answered.
• No changes to entries can be made without the change(s) being confirmed in writing.
• Breakfast will be available in the Cafeteria from 8.00 am each morning.
• Disabled Parking: Please make sure you have a current Disabled Badge with a
photograph of the person in the car. In 2014 we had to find space for 587 pre-ordered
Disabled Car Parking spaces.
• Order of Judging: Each breed is allocated a "not before time" and will not begin before
then.
• Wheelie Bins are provided at an extra expense in the Car Park - please make use of
these and clean up after your dog(s).
• It is illegal to smoke in the venue.
• Please make sure your puppy is eligible for entry i.e. it must be born on or before 22nd
April 2015.
• Your coloured Car Park pass is to provide parking as near to your benching as
possible.
EYE TESTING SESSIONS
Mrs Lorna Newman BVM & S-Cert V Ophthal MRCVS will be holding eye testing
sessions under the BVA/KC/ISDS scheme from 10.00 am - 2.00 pm each day. No
appointment necessary.
Please remember to bring along the dog's KC registration form.
Please note that as these sessions are held within the precincts of the show, only dogs
entered at the show (including Not for Competition) may be tested.

DISABLED DRIVERS
A special parking area will be provided and entry to this area will only be allowed to those
vehicles displaying BOTH a current Official Disabled Drivers Badge and a special label issued
by Midland Counties Canine Society. To obtain a special label please tick the relevant box
on the entry form and include the Badge License Number.
PLEASE NOTE: The person to who the Official Disabled Drivers Badge was
issued MUST be present in the vehicle.
REFRESHMENTS
Excellent catering is provided at this Show at very reasonable
prices. Breakfast is obtainable ALL DAY in the Gallery Restaurant.
Licensed Bar is situated on the Balcony.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RIGHTS — The Organisers would like to bring the regulation on
photography and filming to the attention of exhibitors, trade stands, press and visitors. It is a condition of
all those attending the event that no filming or other form of recording may be taken or made at the venue
without express written permission of the Organisers. The taking of photographs in the show venue for
sale or reward is strictly prohibited except with the written permission of the Organisers. Press accredited
photographers are provided with permission to take photographs ONLY for use in newspapers, magazines
and internet sites – this is for news purposes only. There is no objection to the general public taking
photographs of general views of the Show, provided that these are for private use. Specific dogs may be
photographed only with the approval of the exhibitor. No photography or filming is permitted in breed
judging rings whilst judging is actually taking place. However, judges may allow it to happen at the end of
classes or after the Challenge Certificate is awarded. Filming and flash photography is allowed from outside
the ring at all times unless the operation of the camera is actually affecting exhibits. However, if a powerful
flash unit is used or it is clear that exhibits are being affected, a ring steward or the judge is empowered to
stop the person concerned.

• RULES and REGULATIONS •
1. The Show will open at 7.30 am each day.
2. Dogs will be received at any time but it is the exhibitor's responsibility to ensure exhibits are available for judging when
required.
3. Judging in all rings will commence at 9.00 am each day.
4. Exhibits may be removed from the Show after their judging has been completed. Exhibits may not be removed any earlier unless
by written order of the Veterinary Surgeon or of the Show Management and then only in very exceptional and unforeseen
circumstances which must be reported to the Kennel Club. The Show will close half an hour after all judging has been completed
at which time dogs must be removed.
5. The use of cooking stoves in the proximity of tenting and benching areas is forbidden except as authorised by the Show
management.
6. Entry Fees: Breeds with Challenge Certificates: First entry per dog £22.00. Breeds without Challenge Certificates: First Entry
per dog £12.00. Stakes Classes as a first entry: £22.00 per dog. Second and all subsequent entries with the same dog £3.00.
Not for Competition: £12.00 per dog. Catalogues: £4.00 pre-paid with entry (limited number available on the day @ £5.00).
Caravans/Motorhomes: £25.00 from Tuesday, 20th to Monday, 26th October 2015. Please Note: There will be an additional
charge of £2.00 for each first entry made on-line after midnight on Monday, 7th September 2015. FEES WILL NOT
BE REFUNDED ONCE AN ENTRY HAS BEEN MADE.
7. Prize Money is on offer as detailed in the classification.
8. The committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries.
9. Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the Show are not eligible for exhibition.
10. The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden.
11. Best Puppy in Show: There will be NO competition for Best Puppy in Show.
12. Best in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate
that dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that
only unbeaten dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in show competitions are suspended.
The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and is unbeaten by any other dog exhibited at the same Show.
Definition of a Category 3 Breed. A breed from time to time designated by the General Committee as requiring particular
monitoring by reason of visible condition(s) which may cause health or welfare concerns. The list of designated Category 3
Breeds is kept under regular review.
a. Shows Judged on the Group System: (Definition; Shows judged on the Group System includes classes for breeds within more than one
Group, as defined in Kennel Club Regulation B(A); and requires a judge to declare a Best of each Group after which the exhibits so
declared will compete for the award of Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show.)
1) Best of Breed: Where a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared but only from those dogs which have
received a first prize in a breed class at the show. Where separate classes are provided for each sex of a breed a Best of each
Sex must be declared.
NOTE: The Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified award relevant to a Category 3 Breed will not be confirmed
until the dog has passed an examination by the General and Group Championship Show Veterinary Surgeon.
2) Best of Group: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that
dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only
unbeaten dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in show competitions are suspended.
Best of Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from: a) The Best of Breed winners in each group provided that they are unbeaten winning dogs.
b) The best unbeaten winning dog from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each group or on each day.
NOTE: The dog declared Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified from a breed designated by the Kennel
Club as a Category 3 Breed is not eligible to compete in the Group competition unless it has passed an examination
by the Show’s Veterinary Surgeon. If the dog fails to pass the examination it is ineligible to compete in the relevant
Group.
3) Best in Show: From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that
dogs must be entered and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class and that only
unbeaten dogs are eligible to compete in the group or best in show competitions are suspended.
Best in Show must be selected from the Best of Group winners provided they are unbeaten. Reserve Best in Show must be
selected from the remaining Group winners following the selection of Best in Show.
b. Withdrawal from other Competition: Dogs which become eligible for Best of Group and Best in Show maybe withdrawn from all
other competition other than breed classes and Best of Breed prior to the competition for Best of Group or Best in Show as
appropriate in order to remain unbeaten. A dog beaten in competition for Best of Group or Best in Show may subsequently
be exhibited in all competition for which it was previously eligible. The dogs declared Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show
however, must not compete in any subsequent competition. Dogs may be withdrawn from Any Variety Classes when judged
before Breed Classes.
c. Proviso: For the purposes of this Regulation, dogs beaten in competition for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team
or a Special Award confined to a single breed, will not be considered to be beaten dogs.
13. Exhibits will not be admitted to Best in Show competition after a period of ten minutes has elapsed since the announcement that
exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging not being completed on time,
and then only with the special permission of the Show Management.

14. Exhibitors must not pick up dogs by their tails and leads when lifting them. This is not acceptable. Exhibitors should note that
such practice would constitute harsh handling and reports of such practice will be referred to the Committee under Kennel
Club Show Regulation F11.
15. All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F (B) - Regulations for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition.
16. All dogs resident outside of the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the
show/event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/
competitor.
17. Dogs in Vehicles on Hot Days. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following
guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.
• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and
leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.
• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.
• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to
drink.
• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.
• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.
• Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to
drink so your dog stays well hydrated.
• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.
Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please
look after your dog’s welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO
YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. Anyone whose
dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and
should not put a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regulations
in this respect may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.
Exhibitors/Competitors are reminded that show societies have the right under Kennel Club Regulation to refuse any entry.
18. Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be
Kennel Club registered.
19. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the General Committee of the Kennel Club, which will
be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible.
20. The Show will be held under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. All rules, definitions or instructions of the nature of Rules
and Regulations printed for convenience in other parts of this Schedule shall be deemed to be regulations of the Show and shall
have the same effect as if they formed part of these Regulations.
21. Returned cheques: Exhibitors whose cheques are returned by their bank for any reason will be required to settle the amounts due
together with a £20.00 surcharge to cover administration and bank charges. This includes unpaid credit card amounts.
22. Exclusion of Dogs: The Show Management may exclude or remove any dog which, in their opinion or that of the Judge, is not
in a fit state for exhibition.
23. Safety of Dogs: The Committee will not be responsible for the loss, detention of, or damage to any dog, person or property
whether arising from accident, or any other cause whatever, or from any act or omission of itself, its officers, agents, servants
or others or the damage done by the exhibitor to any person or property.
24. Gangways: Gangways must be kept clear at all times. Any obstructions, including dog boxes, left in gangways will be removed
by the Show Management.
25. Fouling: Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any
fouling caused by their dog(s) at any Kennel Club licensed show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event
including car and caravan parks and approaches.
26. Acknowledgement of Entries: If acknowledgement of entries is required, an addressed, stamped card with "Receipt" written on
the reverse should be enclosed for the Secretary's signature.
27. The owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog at Kennel Club licensed events must at all times ensure that the
dog is kept under proper control whilst at the licensed venue, including its environs, car and caravan parks and approaches. This
Regulation applies before (at any time during the set up period at the venue), during the event and afterwards (at any time during
the breakdown of the event).
28. A dog may be disqualified by the General Committee from any award, whether an objection has been lodged or not, if proved
amongst other things to have been: a) registered or recorded as having been bred by the scheduled Judge. This shall not apply
to a Judge appointed in an emergency; b) exhibited without payment of appropriate entry fees.
29. Every exhibitor shall ensure that whilst the dog is being exhibited, its handler shall display the correct ring number.
• DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES •
In the following definitions, a Challenge Certificate includes any Show award that counts towards the title of Champion under the Rules
of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club. Wins at Championship Shows in breed classes where Challenge Certificates
are not on offer shall be counted as wins at Open Shows. In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in Members' classes
or competing for Members' Specials each partner must at the time of entry be a member of the Society. In estimating the number of
awards won, all wins up to and including the seventh day before the date of closing of entries shall be counted when entering for any
class, i.e. Monday, 31st August 2015.

Wins in Variety classes do not count for entry in Breed classes but when entering for Variety classes, wins in both Breed and Variety
classes must be counted. A First Prize does not include a Special Prize of whatever value. A dog is not eligible for entry in Variety
Classes (excluding AVNSC Classes) unless also entered and subsequently exhibited in a Breed class where such a class is provided for
which it is eligible. Exemptions from this Regulation are:From 1st January 2015, and for a period of two years the Kennel Club Show Regulations which stipulate that dogs must be entered
and exhibited in a breed class before exhibiting in an Any Variety Class/Stakes Class have been suspended.
(1) A puppy, unless a class for dogs under twelve months of age for which it is eligible is provided for the breed.
(2) A dog in Any Variety Field Trial or Working Trial Class.
(3) A dog in Any Variety Veteran Class.
(4) A dog in Any Variety Champion Class.
(5) A dog which is withdrawn from exhibition in breed classes as a result of the appointment of an emergency judge.
(6) A dog in YKC Stakes Classes.
(7) A dog in Good Citizen Scheme Classes.
(8) Exhibits bred by the scheduled breed Judge.
If an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which is ineligible, the exhibitor may choose
one of the following options:
(1) Withdrawal
The dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regulations 9(j) and 20.
(2) Transfer
a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height the Show Secretary shall
transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height and, in the event of there
being no equivalent class, Minor Puppy and Puppy excepted, to the Open class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight
or height.
b) If an exhibit is entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy class, Puppy class or Junior class, which is over age but under twelve
calendar months of age, eighteen calendar months of age or twenty four calendar months of age respectively, the Show
Secretary shall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy class, Junior class or Yearling class respectively for the correct breed,
colour, sex, weight or height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling class to the Open class for the
correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height.
c) For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open class for the correct breed, colour,
sex, weight or height.
d) If an exhibit arrives late and misses a class, even if it is the only class in which the dog is entered, the dog may not be
transferred to any other class.
MINOR PUPPY For dogs of six and not exceeding nine calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.
PUPPY For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.
JUNIOR For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.
YEARLING For dogs of twelve and not exceeding twenty four months of age on the first day of the Show.
POST GRADUATE For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or 5 or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in
Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Certificates were
offered for the breed.
LIMIT For dogs which have not become show Champions under Kennel Club Regulations or under the rules of any governing body
recognised by the Kennel Club or won 7 or more First Prizes in all at Championship Shows in Limit and Open classes, confined
to the breed, whether restricted or not, at Shows where Challenge Certificates were offered for the breed.
OPEN For all dogs of the breeds for which the class is provided and eligible for entry at the Show.
GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME CLASS For dogs that have achieved their GCDS Bronze Award Certificate or above.
IMPORTED REGISTER For breeds confined to the Imported Breeds Register and only when an Interim Breed Standard has
been published by the Kennel Club. Such breeds may be exhibited in this class only, and are ineligible for any other competition
whatsoever.
ANY VARIETY NOT SEPARATELY CLASSIFIED For breeds of dog for which no separate breed classes are scheduled.
EUKANUBA/DOG WORLD PUPPY STAKES Open to all puppies of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age
on the first day of the Show. Dogs which have already qualified for the Eukanuba/Dog World Pup of the Year final are not eligible
to compete.
FOSSE DATA SYSTEMS JUNIOR STAKES For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first
day of the Show.
ARDEN GRANGE SPECIAL BEGINNERS STAKES For owner, handler or exhibit not having won a Challenge Certificate.
EUKANUBA CHAMPION STAKES For dogs which have been confirmed a Champion or Show Champion. A dog will not be
eligible for entry in this class if it has already won a similar class for the same event in 2015.
LESLIE PAGE MEMORIAL VETERAN STAKES For dogs of not less than seven years of age on the first day of the Show.

NOT FOR COMPETITION Societies may at their discretion, accept Not for Competition entries. Societies may accept such
entries from breeds of dog not included within the title of the Society and at Shows held over more than one day, such entries
may be accepted on any day from any breed.
