It was Christmas Eve. Anna and Michael prepared everything for Santa. They put a
glass of milk and a plate of cookies onto the little table in the sitting room. The
stockings hung over the fireplace. The Christmas tree was decorated with lights and
Christmas tree balls. They put out the fire and went to bed. At night Santa came
through the chimney. He saw the cookies and the milk. Every time when he put a
present under the tree or in a stocking he took a cookie and a sip of milk. Then he
was tired and sat in the armchair. But the armchair broke. He took his sack, went to
the fireplace and climbed up the chimney. Ooops, he could not get further. He was
too fat. In the morning Anna and Michael saw Santa stuck up the chimney. They
pulled him out. He ran out of the door and shouted: “Merry Christmas!” And away he
flew in his sleigh with the reindeer. But nobody believed Anna and Michael.
