Im Juli 2013 waren wir zum ersten Mal mit einem eigenen Stand auf dem World Bodypainting Festival in Pörtschach am Wörthersee
(Österreich) vertreten. Dort präsentierten wir
unser neuestes Produkt Kiomi Kids, das gerade
frisch vom Produktionsband gehüpft war.
In July 2013 we had a stand at the World Bodypainting Festival (WBF) in Pörtschach (Austria)
for the first time. There we presented our brand
new development, the facepaint Kiomi Kids. The
visitors also had the chance to test several Kerling
products directly at our booth.
Vor Ort konnte man diverse Kerling Produkte
direkt testen, indem man sich von Peter Tronser mit der Airbrush-Pistole oder von unserer
Maskenbildnerin Ilka Küting mit Glitzertattoos
oder bunten Schminkmotiven verschönern ließ.
Darüber hinaus waren wir Sponsor des Special Effects Make-up Awards und Sponsor des
Teams der beiden Weltmeister Peter und Petra
Tronser, die auch 2013 wieder eine Platzierung
(Platz 3) in der Kategorie Airbrush ergattern
konnten. Die musikalische Hauptattraktion war
in diesem Jahr „The Boss Hoss“.
Peter Tronser, who is one of the world champions
in bodypainting with the airbrush pistol and our
make-up artist, Ilka Küting, didn‘t tire of painting
faces or giving advice to the customers.
We also sponsored the Special Effects Makeup
Award and the team of Peter Tronser who won
the third place in the category Airbrush that year.
The German band “The BossHoss” was the musical highlight of the event.
Im Juli dieses Jahres waren wir ebenfalls vor Ort,
wenn auch in einem kleineren Rahmen als im
Jahr zuvor.
Zu Beginn des WBF unterstützten wir „Monstermacher“ Michael Müller in der WB Academy
bei seinem Workshop „Shocking Hair“ und auch
für das Team von Peter und Petra Tronser waren wir offizieller Sponsor. Peter und Petra landeten dieses Jahr in der Kategorie Airbrush auf
Platz 8, Peter Möbius trat in der Kategorie Special Effects Make-up an und konnte sich Platz
6 sichern. Neu im Team war Michael Horaczek,
der in der Kategorie Amateur Award open category Platz 10 erreichen konnte.
Der musikalische Höhepunkt des Festivals war
der Auftritt von „Adel Tawil“.
We went to the WBF in 2014 again, but this time we
had no stand. Instead we supported “Monstermacher” (which means „producer of monsters“) Michael Müller, who gave a course called “Shocking
Hair” for extreme hairstyles in the WB Academy.
We also sponsored Peter Tronser’s team. He and
his wife Petra placed 8th in the category Airbrush,
Peter Möbius placed 6th in the category Special Effects Make-up and the newbie in the team, Michael
Horaczek, placed 10th in the Amateur Award open
category. The musical highlight was “Adel Tawil“
from Germany.

Make-up Artist Design Show 2013
Haar-Workshop

Im März 2013 konnten Sie uns an unserem
Stand auf der TopHair (Düsseldorf) besuchen,
aber auch auf der Make-up Artist Design Show
waren wir zu finden. Hier hatten wir zwar keinen
eigenen Stand, aber wir hatten die Gelegenheit,
Ihnen einen Einblick in Haarverarbeitungstechniken unseres Hauses zu geben. In einem
jeweils zweistündigen Workshop unter der Leitung unseres Geschäftsführers Robert Meissner und unserer Maskenbildnerin Ilka Küting
hatten Sie die Möglichkeit zu lernen, wie man
mit einer handelsüblichen Nähmaschine Haartressen anfertigen kann. Außerdem konnten
Sie ausprobieren, wie ein Scheitel oder Wirbel
mit der Kerling-Stechmaschine hergestellt wird.
Viele zusätzliche Informationen und nützliches
Know-how rund um das Thema Haare gab es
gratis dazu. Wir haben uns sehr über das große
Interesse an unserem Kurs gefreut.
In March 2013 we had a stand at the trade fair
TopHair (Düsseldorf, Germany) and we also gave
a workshop at the Make-up Artist Design Show
which took place at the same time and the same
fairgrounds. In this workshop our CEO Mr. Meissner and our make-up artist Ilka Küting taught the
audience how to produce wefts with a standard
sewing machine and how to stitch a parting or
crown on silicone with our Kerling stitching machine.
The listeners were given a lot of information and
useful know-how about the subject hair.
We were very pleased with the great interest in our
course.
Role Play
Convention 2014
Im Mai 2014 fand in Köln die Role Play Convention (RPC) statt – die größte Messe für Rollenspiele.
Die RPC ist eine Plattform für alle Arten des
Rollenspiels – von PC-Spielen bis hin zum Live
Action Role Play (LARP). Daher ist das Messeangebot auch sehr vielfältig. Von einem Mittelaltermarkt, über Auftritte diverser Bands, zu
PC-Spielangeboten, Tabletop- und Brettspielen
bis hin zu Cosplay-Kostümen, Larp-Zubehör,
Waffen und Zeitschriften war alles dabei.
Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, am Stand unserer
Händlerin Nathalie Quillmann von www.mycostumes.de eine Test-Ecke für unser Kiomi
AquaCream MakeUp einzurichten.
An beiden Messetagen hat unsere Maskenbildnerin Ilka Küting vor Ort jeweils drei Modelle
geschminkt und dem interessierten Publikum
Tipps zu ihren jeweiligen Schminkmasken und
der Handhabung von Kiomi und weiteren Kerling-Produkten gegeben.
Wir freuen uns sehr, dass unsere Produkte
aufgrund der Qualität und der einfachen Handhabung auch bei Laien immer mehr Anklang
finden.
In May 2014 the Role Play Convention (RPC) took
place in Cologn. It is the biggest trade fair for role
playing.
At the RPC there is a big choice of products to discover, because the variety goes from computer
games to live action role play (larp). There was a
medieval market outside the exhibition hall, several concerts, computer games or board games and
you had the possibility to buy costumes for cosplay, larp accessories, weapons, magazines and
much more.
We had the chance to put up a little make up corner at the stand of our distributor, Nathalie Quillmann, who runs www.mycostumes.de. Our makeup artist, Ilka Küting made face paintings for three
models each day. There were two night elves, two
trolls (one of them wearing a Kerling bald cap), a
manga girl and an “end time makeup” inspired by
the film “Mad Max”. She also gave advice to the
customers how to use Kiomi AquaCream MakeUp
to realize their cosplay or larp characters.
We are happy that our Kiomi is getting more and
more interesting for non-professionals, also.

Zwei gute Nachrichten auf einmal: Wir haben
unser Sortiment an Standard-Bärten und Koteletten verbessert und räumen daher unser
Lager mit den Restbeständen. Die Voll-, Kinnund Schnurrbärte sowie die Koteletten waren
bisher einfarbig und aus glattem Haar gefertigt.
Die neue Version ist aus Haarkrepp und teils
mehrfarbig hergestellt. Darüber hinaus haben
wir, soweit das bei einem Standardprodukt
möglich ist, versucht, die Form zu optimieren
und das Gewicht etwas zu reduzieren.
Good News: We have revised our standard beards
and sideburns. Due to these changes we are now
vacating our warehouse and sell the remaining
stock of beards. The old version is made of straight
hair and only one colour. The new version is made
of creped hair and some are knotted in two colours. We have also reduced the weight and tried to
improve the standard form a bit better.
