From (OD’s Desk Mr, Lashmi Narasimhacharyulu
Welcome to the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication
Engineering. The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication was
established in 1999. Since its inception the department has been providing
quality technical education with a synergy between staff & students.
Department has also started a P.G. courses in 2010 with two specializations. It
has been our endeavor to produce & implement state of art projects. Our
students are greatly benefited by the guidance of our faculty, industrial expert,
well equipped LABs & research associates.
The field of electronics and telecommunications has revolutionized the
world over the last century. The development of fundamental theories in
transmission of information in late 1930s and transistor in early 1950s and IC
design in
97 ’s had changed the world forever. Ground breaking
innovations in the core field of Electronics and Telecommunications have
slowed down but the innovations in the applications of these two fields have
exploded over the last two decades. Now the technology development in such
away in nano meter era of IC In fact it is in other VLSI core industries that we
find real applications of our field which touch every human being. We are
striving to provide you a conducive environment to get exposed to real world
problems (from simple to complex) where you individually or collectively can
come up with a robust solution
It is in this context that we have identified four thrust areas in which we
can excel in Communications, Electronics, VLSI, and Embedded Systems. The
department has created a vibrant research culture and students have an
opportunity to engage in a research project from the inception of 3rd year
semester 2 by joining any one of the active research groups in the area of
Electronics and Communications, Taking developed solutions in these areas to
the society is a hard but required task to have the real impact. This is the
entrepreneurship which we promote very much with the hope that some of the
students will become employment creators.

We always encourage the new students to form new bonds with their own batch
colleagues, with their seniors and all staff. We ask all the students to make themselves visible
through these interactions, performance in academic, extra and co-curricular activities. We very
much encourage the participation in all types of sports and other extra-curricular activities in
clubs and societies as we believe in creating a well rounded graduate at the end of 4 years.
Let me wish you all the best for your future and a rewarding stay at the department.

3. Alumni Interaction [by Mr. Baburao Patil] on 12/09/2014
This is a technical event organized by SPACE. Prof. Mrs. S. S. Bidwai contacted the Resource person
Mr. Baburao Patil Alumni of ADCET, Ashta and made planning of conducting this Alumni
)nteraction under SPACE to share his industrial experience to B.E. (E&TC) students. Her
cooperation was helpful in organizing this event. Prof. S. M. Herur co-ordinated it in a well-manner
and executed well by making all necessary arrangements. The motto of this event was to make
students aware of industrial requirements on particular emerging electronic technologies. This
event gave useful knowledge about electronics trends in industries to students. Target audience was
B.E. students of E&TC Dept. This event was helpful for students and got good feedback from
students.

 This is a cultural activity organized by SPACE which is one among the Common annual activities
of SPACE. Usually this SPACE )nauguration and fresher’s party for S.E. students of E&TC will be
organized by E&TC Dept. under SPACE every academic year.
 This time our department organized this event on 13th Sept, 2014 under SPACE followed by
refreshment to each students, faculties, staffs and peons of department. The event was graced by
presence of I/C HOD Ms. R. R. Jagtap, SPACE I/C Mr. S. M. Herur, all faculty, staff and students.
 Department has honored 1st, 2nd and 3rd toppers in SU exam to encourage and motivate them for
further success. And also felicitated winners of TRADITIONAL DAY from SE, TE and BE which
was held on 10th Sept, 2014.
 There were cultural activities such as funny games, dance, singing, etc. In this event especially
arranged for welcoming S.E. (E&TC) students in our dept. This event was executed by SPACE
committee members in a beautiful manner along with the faculty and staff member’s support of
our dept.

4. Social Activity and Computer Awareness Program on 31/12/2014
To bear the social responsibility and divert the youth from exaggerated celebrations of 31st
eve, SPACE has organized a Social Activity on the last eve of year 2014 i.e. 31st December, 2014.
Our team visited Ashram Shala located in Ashta and donated 30 copies of Social Science text books
to 30 financially poor students in that school. Also a Computer Awareness Program from the
students was conducted. Prof. S. M. Herur, the SPACE I/C took a lead to organize this program
accompanied by SPACE committee members of E&TC Department. Students have actively
participated in this program as tutors and delivered better knowledge about computers and their
use in recent and upcoming days to the students of Aashram Shaala. Special thanks to our HOD and
Principal for giving permission to conduct this social event over there.
