Mountain Bikes Rentals
1 hr $15 | 4 hrs $30 | 8 hrs (day) $50. All bike rentals include helmets. For more

Basketball, Tennis & Pickleball Courts
Guests can enjoy our outdoor lighted sports courts daily. We offer 4 hard surface tennis
courts (marked for Pickleball as well) and a basketball court. Guests can play in a tennis
round robin Mon/Wed/Fri. A racquet and a new can of balls are required for round robin
tennis. Pickleball Round Robin Tues/Thurs/Sat. Racquet required for Pickleball Round
Robin. Please call 828.694.3005 for times.
Miniature Golf
A family favorite activity is a round of mini-golf at our Lakeside Challenge miniature golf
course. The cost is $5 for the 1st round and the 2nd round (same day) is free.
Guest Amenities
Resort guests have access to all on site amenities including 4 swimming pools, steam room,
sauna, fitness room, trails, private beach and outdoor sports courts. A guest pass is
required for entrance to Resort amenities. You will receive a guest pass at check-in,
please keep this with you during your stay.
WELLNESS CENTER, FITNESS/HIKING TRAILS, & SPORTS COURTS
The Wellness Center is the “Hub” for Resort amenities and activities. Here is where
guests will find the Spa & Salon, Fitness Room, Indoor Pool, and a Business Center
(computer workstations, free Wi-Fi, and a printer). The Wellness Center is a great place for
families to get Resort and area information and offers a selection of Resort merchandise,
snacks, gift items and DVD rentals. All Kid’s Adventure Camp programs meet at the
Wellness Center. Wellness Center is open from 7:30am - 8pm (1/1 - 5/26), 7:30am 9:30pm (5/27 - 9/5), and 7:30am - 8pm (9/6 - 12/31). *The indoor pool facilities close 30
mins. prior to the Wellness Center. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the fitness center.
Fitness Classes - The Resort offers a variety of fitness classes for members and
guests each week. Fitness classes are free for members and $5 per guest. We invite
you to attend a class during your stay. For a complete list of available fitness classes visit
the Wellness Center or call 828.694.3005.
Fitness & Hiking Trails - Enjoy the outdoors and a great workout on a .9 mile loop
fitness trail that consists of 5 workout stations. The Fitness Trail starts near the front of the
Wellness Center. In addition, our Trailhead, which allows our members and guests direct
access to miles of local hiking and biking trails, is located on the north end of the property.

SWIMMING POOLS
Trout Stream Pool, Lazy River & Pool Side Snack Bar
This family swimming pool complex features 2 outdoor pools,
a sand volleyball court, restrooms, changing rooms and a
snack bar. Enjoy covered seating with fans or stretch out in a
lounge chair and soak up the rays. Trout Stream Pool opens
for the weekend from 9am - 5pm (5/14 & 5/15, 5/21 & 5/22), and is open daily for the
season from 9am - 9pm (5/27 - 9/5), and 9am - 5pm (9/10 & 9/11, 9/17 & 9/18). Inner tubes
are for sale at concession stand and are required for The Lazy River. You are welcome to bring your own inner
tube. Small coolers are allowed. Please no outside alcohol or glassware. Adult only swim 9am - 10am.
Indoor Pool, Whirlpool, Steam Room & Sauna
The indoor pool at the Wellness Center is open daily, adult only swim from 7:30am 10am.* Adult supervision is required at the indoor pool. For adults we offer a whirlpool,
steam room and dry sauna. Towels are available for a $2.00 rental fee at the Wellness
Center desk. *Children under 16 are not permitted to use the whirlpool, steam room and dry sauna.
Apple Valley Pool
Located off Winesap Blvd. near the Apple Valley Golf Course. The Apple Valley Pool is
open daily 9am - 8pm (5/1 - 9/5), and 9am - 7pm (9/6 - 10/1). This outdoor pool
tends to be quieter and more adult friendly. Guest passes are required.
FAMILY POOL PARTY
A great way for the whole family to enjoy an evening with music, games, &
prizes. Every Thursday at Trout Stream Pool starting at 5pm (6/16 8/18). Continue the party with a glow in the dark Putt-Putt Tournament at
the Wellness Center for only $5.00
The Lake & Beach
NORTH SHORE BEACH CABANA
Located directly on Lake Lure, just below Lakeview Restaurant, the North Shore Beach
Cabana is Rumbling Bald Resort’s lake headquarters. This is where you can rent
pontoon boats, pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, SUPboards and register for lake tours. The
Cabana is stocked with snacks and merchandise for all your beach needs. Guests can
call the Cabana directly at 828.694.3019.
The North Shore Beach Cabana will be closed 1/1/16 - 3/24/16 and again 11/1/16 - 12/31/16. During the
Cabana‘s off-season, a limited schedule of cruises may be booked by calling the Wellness Center at
828.694.3005.
RESORT BOAT RENTALS
You have plenty of options to get out and enjoy the water at Rumbling Bald Resort.
Guests may rent a pontoon boat, kayak, SUPboard or pedal boat on Lake Lure or enjoy a
canoe on our private lake, Bald Mountain Lake. Call or visit the North Shore Beach
Cabana at 828.694.3019 for boat rental information and availability.
Pontoon Boat Rentals
A motorized pontoon boat gives your family the opportunity to enjoy and explore Lake Lure
on your own! Pontoon boats can be rented at the North Shore Beach Cabana. We offer
three 20’ Pontoon Boats and each boat holds up to 10 passengers. All pontoon boat
rentals include, life jackets, safety instruction, and lake map. 20’ Pontoon Rental Rates:
1 hr $75 | 2 hrs $150 | 3 hrs $225 | 4 hrs $300.
Plus $5/hr for fuel. No swimming or pulling inner tubes behind boats.
Canoe Rentals (On Bald Mountain Lake)
Enjoy the peaceful and serene Bald Mountain Lake by canoe. This lake is perfect for
fishing or families with children. Note: A fishing license is not required to fish at this lake,
no swimming is permitted in Bald Mountain Lake. Rentals include paddles & life jackets.

Kayak Rentals
A kayak rental from the North Shore Beach Cabana will satisfy your sense of adventure
and get you up close and personal with our beautiful lake. Kayaks are available for rent
by the hour, seven days a week. Easy to use, safe and stable recreational one/two
person kayak rental includes paddle & life jacket.

Stand Up Paddle Boards Rentals

NORTH SHORE BEACH CABANA ICE CREAM SHOP
When you are ready for a treat, stop in at the North Shore Beach
Cabana for a hand scooped ice cream cone. We have a variety of
flavors available in a waffle cone or a cup. The Cabana also serves
cold drinks, beer, wine, slushies and snacks.

SCENIC CRUISES ON LAKE LURE
The “hands down” guest and family favorite activity is taking a scenic cruise on Lake
Lure. Our cruises depart from the North Shore Beach Cabana*. Passengers enjoy a
lively, fully narrated 1.5 hr boat cruise on our lovely lake. It’s a great time for the entire
family. To make a reservation stop by the Cabana or give us a call at 828.694.3019.
Daily Departure Schedule: 11am, 2pm, 5pm (3/25 - 5/26); 11am, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm

Scenic Lunchtime Cruises
Why not combine your cruise with a stop for lunch at a lakefront restaurant? Our 3 hr scenic
lunchtime cruise, departs from the Cabana at 10:30am and includes a stop for lunch. Space
is limited and advance reservations are recommended. Lunch not included in price.

of 4 passengers to depart. For the month of November guests can arrange for scenic lake cruises at the

Lake Lure Dinner Cruises
Guests will enjoy a delicious 3 course meal served
during a leisurely two hour cruise on Lake Lure. The
cruise departs from the Beach Cabana at 5pm every
Tues, Fri, & Sat. (3/25 - 5/26); 6pm every Tues - Sat
(5/27 - 9/5); and at 5pm every Tues, Fri, & Sat (9/6 10/31). Dinner Cruise Prices: Dinner $59 | Dinner
(unlimited wine or beer) $69. Gratuity not included.
All passengers should meet inside Lakeview Restaurant 30 minutes prior to scheduled cruise departure time.
Advanced reservations are required and may be made by calling 828.694.3015. If cruise is unable to depart,
dinner will still be served at the Lakeview Restaurant, and the price will be reduced to reflect cancellation of
cruise. Dinner Cruise requires a minimum of 8 passengers to depart. Dates, times and pricing subject to
change without notice. There are no restrooms available on cruises.

BOATING & FISHING INFORMATION
Resort guests are welcome to bring boats to enjoy lake activities and recreation on Lake
Lure. Rumbling Bald Resort offers convenient access to the lake with a boat launch, plus
we provide a secure dry storage area for your boat and trailer when not in use. Some
Resort accommodations include private dock spaces. Please discuss your options with a
reservations agent. Guests must obtain the proper boating permits directly from the Town
of Lake Lure. The Town issues short term and non-resident boating permits for both
motorized and non motorized watercraft. Information on boating permits is available by
calling 828.625.9983 or by visiting the Town of Lake Lure’s website at townoflakelure.com.
This should be done prior to bringing your boat to Lake Lure in order to determine availability and pricing of
boat permits. Personal watercraft such as Jet-Ski’s are not permitted on Lake Lure.
Many guests enjoy fishing on Lake Lure or in nearby rivers and streams. Our area is known
for Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Crappie, White
Bass, Catfish, Bluegill and Sun-Perch. North Carolina State licenses are required to fish in
Lake Lure and Trout stamps are required for local creek and river fishing. Please visit
ncwildlife.org for information on fishing licenses.
RESORT BEACH ON LAKE LURE
Guests can enjoy the sun at our private sand
beach on Lake Lure everyday from 7am 10pm. The beach features a roped off
swimming area for children along with a
playground for hours of fun in the sunshine.
A limited number of beach lounge chairs are
available. You are welcome to bring your
own chairs or games for a picnic. Parking and restrooms are within easy walking
distance. No glass, pets, or personal bonfires are permitted at the beach.
SATURDAY NIGHT BEACH BONFIRE
& MARSHMALLOW ROAST
Bring your family down to the beach on Saturday
Nights (5/28 - 9/3) to enjoy a bonfire and free
marshmallow roast! The fire is ready by 8pm and a
staff member stays until supplies run out. Alcohol and
pets are not permitted at the bonfire.

The Eagles Nest Cafe at Apple Valley Golf Course
This unique offering is located at our scenic Apple Valley golf course. It’s a great place to
sit, relax and enjoy a classic espresso, cappuccino or a number of other hot or iced coffee
favorites. Choose from a selection of Artisan pastries and at lunch enjoy soup, fresh salad,
or a sandwich. We also offer select beer, wine and spirits. Free Wi-Fi available.
WEDNESDAY WINE TOURS - $75 (4/6 - 10/26)
Enjoy the scenic beauty of our local Wine Trail with a personalized
tour that showcases four distinct Wineries. Experience an
informative and educational tour at each winery while you indulge
your palate with some of their finest offerings. Wine Tours include:
4 Local Wineries with a selection of wines to taste per winery,
lunch, and storage for all wine purchases. Our shuttle leaves at

Apple Valley Golf Course
The Apple Valley course, designed by noted course
architect Dan Maples, is called “one of the most
beautiful mountain courses around” by Golf Digest’s
“Places to Play.” Apple Valley’s length provides great
opportunities for spectacular drives. Well positioned
bunkers and undulating terrain present a variety of
unique shots for golfers of all abilities.

player’s favorite. Our two championship courses at Rumbling Bald Resort have been

will notice during your round.
Bald Mountain Golf Course
Bald Mountain is the Resort’s first course, originally
built in 1968. It’s name comes from the rock faced
cliffs towering over the course, however it will be the
less prominent features that command your attention
to score well here. With well guarded greens and
challenging fairways, golfers must be precise with
their drives and approach shots. Bald Mountain is a
true challenge in a lovely setting.

SHUTTLE CART RENTALS
Our shuttle carts are available year round and
can get you from your home, to the pool, to the
restaurant, or just out to explore. We rent these
4 seater, EZ-GO, gas golf carts from our Bald
Mountain Pro Shop. Please call us to inquire if
we have one available for you and your family to
enjoy during your visit 828.694.3042.
The shuttle carts can be rented for a minimum of a 24 hour period and up to a week.
The rates are as follows:
• 24 Rental is $50
• Weekly (7 Days) $300
There is a $200 deposit that will be taken at the point of rental and will be credited back when the cart returns
without damage.

KIDS ADVENTURE CAMP
It’s the perfect way for kids to enjoy “everything fun” in the mountains. Designed for kids
ages 6-18, we keep a strong focus on outdoor fun and safety through knowledgeable
and experienced camp counselors.

Programs offered 6/14 - 8/19. Daily camps run Tuesday - Friday from 9:30am - 4:30pm
and includes lunch. Advanced reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited.
