nachlesen kann. Bei den letzten beiden Austragungen des
SWISSMAN sass ich zu Hause am Computer und verfolgte im
Liveticker, wie meine Kolleginnen und Kollegen unterwegs
waren. Ich regte mich auf, dass ich nicht dabei war. Ich hatte
leider nicht teilgenommen, weil ich im 2014 den Ironman in
Roth und im 2015 den Gigathlon als Single-Women als Saisonziel geplant hatte und der SWISSMAN zu nahe an diesen
Daten war. Im 2016 ist aber mein Saisonziel klar: Der SWISSMAN! Ich liebe die Berge. Mit dem Rennrad gibt es nichts
herrlicheres, als Pässe hochzuradeln – ich verbringe min.
1 Woche im Jahr mit Rennradferien, in denen ich diverseste
Pässe überquere. Im Herbst 2015 radelte ich mit meinem
Partner auch via Route des Grandes Alpes über 17 Pässe ans
Meer. Beim Joggen bevorzuge ich auch Bergläufe-Events der
Jura-Toptour, Stockhornhalbmarathon, Glacier 3000, Blüemlisalplauf und auch den Jungfraumarathon mag ich sehr! Nach
dem ich auch den Inferno mehrfach gefinisht habe ist es klar:

One Week Gigathlon in Couple möchte ich mich der Herausforderung SWISSMAN stellen. Mir gefällt der Gedanke,
dass es beim SWISSMAN nicht um die Zielzeit oder um den
Rang geht, sondern ums Ankommen. Ich kann mir vorstellen
dass die Stimmung unter den Athleten deshalb sehr gut und

SWISSMAN selber angehen :-) Nach einigen intensiven

Championship on the half distance. In June 2015 I was a part
of the Celtman Extreme Scottish Triathlon as a supporter
and crew runner. It was an experience for life and I loved
the combination of a really hard race, the atmosphere and
the nature. I was supporting my friend all the way on the
run and this is an experience I will never forget. After this
I have to do one of the three extreme triathlons myself – I
want to give myself the biggest challenge of my life, but also
the most fantastic. I therefore hope I get the opportunity to
participate in SWISSMAN Extreme Triathlon in 2016 with the

“After several endurance races and being a Norseman finisher in 2015, I decide to submit my application to SWISSMAN,
one of the best xtreme triathons of the world. I read a lot
about the race and the tough and familiar atmosphere is my
kind of challenges. After much reflection on the topic over
the last few months (since Norseman), I would love to do it.
The experience of Norseman was very important after my
father’s death and two babies that we lost. In fact this experience gave me life and brought me closer to my wife Inês
(after support in Norseman, Inês returned to do sport and
have made 2 races!). I had the opportunity during preparation, to embrace a social cause (in this case, we raised a van
for a temporary home for children at risk - Casa das Cores)
and the adventure allowed me to inspire a lot of people,
because they realize that it is always possible more. For
example, a good friend who is priest in Lisbon and was supporting me in Norway, decided to sign up to do an Ironman
in 2016, to be the first priest to finish an Ironman (there is
already a sister). In addition, the Norseman experience left
the opportunity to continue the support to the social cause
