(1891-1970) was Jewish Swedish-German
writer and poetess.
(1816-1874) was the inventor of the soon
named for him advertising column – the
classic of poster advertising media. The
Berlin printing house owner was angry
about the arbitrarily affixed posters.
On her 75th birthday on December 10th,
1966 she has got the Nobel Prize in Literature „for her outstanding lyrical and
dramatic writing, which interprets Israel's
destiny with touching strength“.
First hundred columns and 50 fountain
wrappings were inaugurated with an opening ceremony on July 1st, 1855.

was written by August Heinrich von Fallersleben (1798-1874) on the Isle Heligoland on August 26th, 1841.
The melody derived from „Kaiserlied“
(1797) of Joseph Haydn. Not the sovereign
is center of the attention of the song of
Fallersleben but the nation.

German painters and graphic artists of
20th century. Otto Dix (1891-1969)
works/paintings impress by stylistic diversity although his best known paintings
