Product Description
Extremely low-emission, solvent and silicone-free, single component adhesive with excellent trowel mark
formation and extremely good spreading qualities for the flexible adhesion of engineered wood. Suitable for
various types of parquet such as prefabricated parquet in 2, 3 and more layers in panels and boards, smoked
oak (free of harmful residual ammonia). Please contact the Kiesel Application Technology Department on the
product‘s compatibility with exotic wood. For adhering to cement screeds, calcium sulphate (flow) screeds,
chipboard V 100 E1, OSB panels and onto cleaned-up subsurfaces filled with suitable Servoplan or Servoalpha
filler compound. Tested in system with Kiesel Parquet surface refinements. Bakit FPKg can be processed on
many subsurfaces without a primer.
Substrate preparation
The substrate must be inspected in accordance with VOB Section C, DIN 18365 and the current state of
technology and be ready for instalation. Substrates are to be pretreated in accordance with the current BEB
datasheet ‘Beurteilen und Vorbereiten von Untergründen’ (Evaluation and Preparation of Substrates) and TKB
Datasheet 8. If necessary, prime the subsurface with Okamul PU-V schnell and adhere within 48 hours. Prime
mastic asphalt screed hardness classes IC 10 or IC 15 and old, fixed, load-bearing adhesive residues with
Okamul PU-V schnell. The subsurface can be primed to bind microdust with Bakit PV-Universal on adsorbent
subsurfaces (cement screeds, calcium sulphate (flow) screeds). A system asembly must be used.
Processing
Open the packaging and remove plastic foil including hardened adhesive. Apply Bakit FPK onto the
subsurface using the suitable trowel. Spread as much adhesive and install desired material within 30-40
minutes. Press installed material in to the wet adhesive bed, align it and tap it down and ensure full-surface
contact. Remove any traces of adhesive on the parquet surface immediately using Bakit RT wet tissue and
buuf it dry with clean absorbent non-abrasive paper towel. The remaining adhesive must be covered with a
plastic foil if it is not used completely. Please observe the guidelines by the parquet manufacturer.
