Das Waldtheater – das

Theater wurde dank Graf
Kinský in 1921 erbaut. Nach
dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurden
weitere Arbeiten ausgeführt. Danach lag es für viele Jahren leer.
Erst dank hiesigen Enthusiasten
und Bewohnern hat das Theater
in 2004 – 2005 die heutige Form
bekommen.
EN Open air theatre in the
woods – the open air
theatre was built in 1921. The
project was supported by Count
Kinský. Further renovations took
place after WWII. After that the
theatre fell into ruins. Its current
form gained the theatre thanks
to local enthusiasts and inhabitants in 2004 – 2005.
Hvozd (der Forst) – dieser
Berg liegt an der Grenze
zu Deutschland und hat zwei
Gipfel. Der höhere Gipfel, durch
den die Grenze führt, befindet
sich im Süden. Die andere Spitze
liegt schon in Deutschland. Hier
kann man auch einen steinernen
Aussichtsturm finden, der eine
kleinere Kopie von dem Aussichtsturm auf Jedlová ist. Früher
stand ein Turm aus Holz hier.
Hvozd (Deep Forest) –

a mountain on the Czech
and German border. It has two
peaks, the frontier leads through
the higher southern top. The
lower top can be found on the
German side of the border. A
stone lookout which replaced
the original wooden one can
also be found there. It is a smaller replica of another lookout at
the hill Jedlová.
Hvozd – hora ležící na hranicích mezi Českou republikou
a Německem. Má dva vrcholy,
přes jižní vyšší vede státní hranice. Nižší vrchol je na německé
straně. Na Německé straně je
vybudovaná kamenná rozhledna, která nahradila původní
dřevěnou a je menší replikou
rozhledny na dalším lužickém
vrchu – Jedlové.
Luž – (793 m) je nejvyšší
horou Lužických hor. Přes
vrchol prochází státní hranice
s Německem. Na vrcholu hory
stojí malý hostinec, k němuž byla později přistavěna
rozhledna. Z vrcholu Luže byl
vždy nádherný kruhový rozhled
od Krušných hor a Děčínského
Sněžníku přes České středohoří,
Vlhošť, Ralsko, Bezděz a Trosky

Lesní divadlo – lesní scéna
vystavěná v roce 1921
za podpory hraběte Kinského. K rozsáhlejším stavebním
úpravám došlo po 2. Sv. válce.

Gipfel befindet sich eine kleine
Gaststätte mit einem später
nachgebauten Aussichtsturm.
Der Ausblick bietet das Panorama von Krušné hory, Děčínský
Sněžník, České středohoří,
Vlhošť, Ralsko, Bezděz und
Trosky, Ještěd, Jizerské hory
und Krkonoše an. Im Norden
kann man die Städte und Hügel
von Šluknov und Horní Lužice in
Deutschland sehen. Der Ausblick
im Osten ist leider zurzeit von
Bäumen geblockt.

inn can be found. A lookout
was later added to it. The top
of Luž has always offered a
marvellous panorama of Krušné
hory, Děčínský Sněžník, České

Bezděz and Trosky. Even Ještěd,
Jizerské hory, the peaks of
Krkonoše, the northern towns
and hills of Šluknov and Horní
Lužice in Germany can be seen
from here. The eastern vista is,
however, blocked by full-grown
trees.

Glassworks – try the traditional

explore the secrets of handmade glass. Many glassworks in
the region offer their visitors the
opportunity to create something
new under supervision of experienced glass-making experts.

zpřístupněna je ve skále vytesaná poustevna s kaplí a novější
stavby na vrcholu skály. Železná
rozhledna, vysoká 33 m (354 m
n. m.), byla postavena v letech
2010–2011. Vyhlídková plošina
je ve výšce 26 m, vede k ní 150
schodů. Věž slouží nejen jako
rozhledna, ale i jako vysílač
mobilního operátora.

Aussichtsturm – die Burg
existiert nicht mehr. Die Touristen können nur die Einsiedelei
in dem Felsen mit einer Kapelle
und neuere Gebäuden oben auf
dem Gipfel besuchen. Der eiserne Aussichtsturm, der 33 hoch
ist (354 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel), wurde in den Jahren
2010–2011 erbaut. 150 Treppen
führen zu dem Aussichtsplateau,
das sich in der Höhe von 26 m
befindet. Der Turm hat noch eine
weitere Funktion: er dient einem
der Mobilnetzwerkoperatoren.
EN Rock castle Sloup and the
lookout – the castle itself
does not exist anymore. The
tourists can, however, visit the
preserved hermitage with a
chapel, carved out into the rock,
and also newer buildings on
the top of the rock. The iron
33-metre-high lookout (354 m
above sea level) was built in
2010–2011. The lookout plateau
can be found 26 metres above
the ground and can be reached
by 150 steps. The tower is also
used by a mobile operator.

Svitavské jeskyně – jsou
nazývány též Pusté kostely.
Celá oblast podél Svitávky směrem
k Velenicím a Zákupům je protkaná
mnoha jeskyněmi, většinou
umělými. Údajně zde žili středověcí
mniši. Za 2.světové války v některých prostorách vězni vyráběli
kulomety a díly do letadel, pak zde
byly sklady zeleniny.

auch leere Kirchen genannt.
Das ganze Gebiet entlang des
Flusses Svitávka in der Richtung
zu Velenice und Zákupy ist durch
viele Höhlen (meistens künstlich)
durchwebt. Angeblich haben hier
mittelalterliche Mönche gelebt.
Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges haben hier die Gefangenen
Maschinengewehre und Ersatzteile
für Flugzeuge hergestellt. Nach
dem Krieg dienten die Höhlen als
Gemüselager.

Svitávka towards Velenice and
Zákupy is full of caves. Most of
these were artificially carved. They
were allegedly used as hermitages
for medieval monks. During WWII,
the prisoners of war manufactured
machine guns and aeroplane

Zámek Bělá pod Bezdězem –
raně barokní zámek na ostrohu
tyčícím se nad údolím okolo říčky
Bělé. Již na počátku 14. století
byla v těchto místech vystavěna
středověká tvrz. Dominantou zámku
je věž vysoká 32,4 m s cibulovitou
bání vyrůstající z průčelí zámku.
Pro veřejnost je prozatím přístupná
pouze ta část zámku, ve které sídlí
muzeum. V těchto místech jsou také
dochovány unikátní dřevěné kolorované renesanční stropy z let 1582
až 1615. K dalším skvostům patří
i sgrafita dochovaná na arkádách
na nádvoří.

Bělá. Schon am Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts stand hier eine mittelalterliche Festung. Die Dominante des
Schlosses ist bestimmt der 32,4 m
hohe Turm mit einer Zwiebelkuppel,
der sich aus der Front des Schlosses
erhebt. Die Besucher können zurzeit
leider nur das Teil des Schlosses
sehen, wo sich das Museum
befindet. Hier kann man originelle
hölzerne kolorierte Renaissancedecken aus den Jahren 1582 bis 1615
bewundern. Weitere Juwelen des
Schlosses sind die Sgrafittos an den
Arkaden des Vorhofes.

river Bělá. A medieval keep from
the beginning of the 14th century
once stood here. The dominant feature of the chateau is definitely the

chateau. Only one part of the building is open to public: the museum.
