Beginning in September the AEC
Bowling League begins with a potluck and organizational meeting
which will be held Thursday, Sept.
3 at Noon at the Allen Eiry Center. Those whose
last name begins with “A-M” please bring a side
dish. Those whose last name begins with “N-Z”
please bring a main dish. The Center will provide coffee, water and dinnerware.
Bowling will be every Wednesday at 1:00PM at
Heritage Lanes in Tiffin. We have fun and enjoy
our Wednesdays at the alleys playing 2 games
each week. All AEC members are welcome to
join the league.
If you are thinking of bowling in the AEC League
please try to attend our meeting and potluck

join our craft group. We work together on many
projects that we are preparing to sell at Tiffin
Calvert Catholic Schools in December for family

attend the P.E.R.I. Annual Meeting at the Crowne Plaza in
Columbus. Our bus, in partnership with the local P.E.R.I.
chapter, is going. It is important to hear what is current

This excursion will begin with a stop at Forest Park which
is one of 10 Seneca County Parks and is located just north
of CR 6 along Honey Creek. John Crumrine will lead the
hike through the park while giving us an explanation of
types of trees and the history of the land. Our next stop
will be at Indian Mill Bridge area. Indian Mill on the Sandusky River is the nation's first educational museum of
milling in an original mill structure build in 1861. We will
tour both the mill and the bridge. Our host Ron Marvin Jr.
will tell us the history of the mill. Christina Kuchle, Scenic
River Coordinator, NW Ohio, will also be present at the
Indian Mill location and share with us information about
the bridge and the Scenic Rivers program.
Be sure to pack your lunch and bring it along. We will sit
and enjoy our lunch at the beautiful Indian Mill Bridge
area. This is a beautiful time of the year…come join us!

Our friends at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria have
invited us to come to their annual bazaar. We will be
welcomed by the gift of a home-made delicious warm
cinnamon roll. We can visit over 35 craft booths, eat
fresh baked sweets, order ala-carte soup and sandwiches or have a full course ham loaf dinner.
You will have time to relax, shop, eat and visit some
of our members who live in the assisted living facility.

When you receive this I will be escorting a group to South
Dakota. We have one more multi-day trip scheduled for
October, and many day trips are on the schedule, come join
us. We have super nice travelers who will make you feel
welcome. Every month we try to have new adventures in
the newsletter for your pleasure. I am working on the 2016
schedule, and hope to have many interesting trips. Thank
you for all your support in making this a job I enjoy and
love. Reminder: if you want to travel with a certain person
please try to sign up together, it makes it much easier for

Throughout the years of existence since 1971
the Allen Eiry Center membership has grown.
Our goal is to reach over 1,000 memberships
in 2015. The AEC Board has agreed to give
our 1,000th member of 2015 a Travel Gift
Certificate worth $100.00.

husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow
writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Berry Mann,
to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in
popular music history. Along the way, she made more
than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.
Featuring the stunning array of beloved songs written
by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia
Weil, including “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine
Day,” “(You make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,”

The Broadway musical “Bullets Over Broadway” has announced that it will launch a national touring production,
beginning at Cleveland Playhouse Square Center on October 6. We have tickets for opening night!
Hailed by Time Magazine as, “Musical Theatre Gold!”
This is a show about the hilarious making of a Broadway
Show. The story of a young playwright who, in desperate
need of financial backing, accepts an offer he can’t refuse
from a mobster looking to please his showgirl girlfriend.
This will be a fast paced, music and dance show that you
will enjoy. We will stop and eat on the way.

FITNESS CENTER MEMBERSHIP
PAYMENT OPTIONS AND TERMS
▪You must be a current paid member of the AEC to belong to the Fitness Center.
▪As of August 1, 2015 there is a fee of $120/per year/per person.
This may be paid by:
paying in full (Annual) $120.00
paying through EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) $10.00/per month/per person
▪AEC Fitness Center membership is non-transferable and non-refundable.
▪When paying in full (Annual) and you join any time other than August, your Fitness Center membership
will be pro-rated through July 31st.
▪When paying by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) your Fitness Center membership will be regarded as
continuous until July 31st of each year. At this time you have the opportunity to cancel your Fitness Center
membership by notifying us in writing by July 25th, otherwise your Fitness Center membership will continue for another year.
Please check with your physician before you begin an exercise program.
An orientation is required by each person prior to using the Fitness Center on their own.
Equipment in the Fitness Center includes: 2 Treadmills, 1 Elliptical, 1 Recumbent Bike, 1 NuStep,
Universal multi-gym (strength & conditioning), Dumbbells (3-25 lbs.), and Weight Sticks (5-12 lbs.).

Our Fitness Center is a great way to stay active & build strength! Take the opportunity to schedule an orientation and try the equipment today.
