Beginning in September the AEC Bowling League begins with a potluck and organizational meeting which will be held Thursday, Sept. 3 at Noon at the Allen Eiry Center. Those whose last name begins with “A-M” please bring a side dish. Those whose last name begins with “N-Z” please bring a main dish. The Center will provide coffee, water and dinnerware. Bowling will be every Wednesday at 1:00PM at Heritage Lanes in Tiffin. We have fun and enjoy our Wednesdays at the alleys playing 2 games each week. All AEC members are welcome to join the league. If you are thinking of bowling in the AEC League please try to attend our meeting and potluck Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Noon. John Crumrine will lead the hike through the park while giving us an explanation of types of trees and the history of the land. Our next stop will be at Indian Mill Bridge area. Indian Mill on the Sandusky River is the nation's first educational museum of milling in an original mill structure build in 1861. We will tour both the mill and the bridge. Our host Ron Marvin Jr. will tell us the history of the mill. Christina Kuchle, Scenic River Coordinator, NW Ohio, will also be present at the Indian Mill location and share with us information about the bridge and the Scenic Rivers program. Dec. 15 Tues. Hello to all our Travelers, 2:30pm AEC NEWS Throughout the years of existence since 1971 the Allen Eiry Center membership has grown. Our goal is to reach over 1,000 memberships in 2015. The AEC Board has agreed to give our 1,000th member of 2015 a Travel Gift Certificate worth $100.00. Word of mouth is our biggest marketing tool. FITNESS CENTER MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT OPTIONS AND TERMS ▪You must be a current paid member of the AEC to belong to the Fitness Center. ▪As of August 1, 2015 there is a fee of $120/per year/per person. This may be paid by: paying in full (Annual) $120.00 paying through EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) $10.00/per month/per person ▪AEC Fitness Center membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. ▪When paying in full (Annual) and you join any time other than August, your Fitness Center membership will be pro-rated through July 31st. ▪When paying by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) your Fitness Center membership will be regarded as continuous until July 31st of each year. At this time you have the opportunity to cancel your Fitness Center membership by notifying us in writing by July 25th, otherwise your Fitness Center membership will continue for another year. Please check with your physician before you begin an exercise program. An orientation is required by each person prior to using the Fitness Center on their own. Equipment in the Fitness Center includes: 2 Treadmills, 1 Elliptical, 1 Recumbent Bike, 1 NuStep, Universal multi-gym (strength & conditioning), Dumbbells (3-25 lbs.), and Weight Sticks (5-12 lbs.).
